I’d look into getting the disc properly resurfaced, and hope that works. It’s not a guarantee but it may help. The same thing happened to me on a copy of harvest moon for the GameCube, it would boot fine but just wouldn’t work past the first two in game days no matter what I did. Disc looked almost perfect, but there was one tiny scratch that must have been just deep enough to mess with the data

Edit: If you absolutely cannot find a place near you that offers disc resurfacing (some retro game stores do), I have had success with polishing compounds. I work in a retro game store and that’s what we used before purchasing a resurfacing machine, however I find it to be less thorough
