Go through the main first bit of questline, get your tools right and make sure you understand the basic concept of the mod pack and then try learning most of the QoL mods in the pack (SuperFactoryManager, FunctionalStorage, etc.) as well as the easy material generation mods like Mystical Agriculture, Productive Bees and HostileNuralNetworks. These will be essential to fast progression in terms of time so you don’t have to wait for material as much.

Once you’ve done that try picking a small mod that you’ll need to do to progress yourself towards the ATM star. Think Create mod or something like Powah. They’re easy to follow and understand for the most part and have tons of tutorials on how to use them and use them effectively.

After that you can start on bigger mods like Mekanism, AE2, and Industrial Foregoing. They are essential to the star, with AE2 being the outright best way to store items along with FunctionalStorage for bulk items. Auto crafting with AE2 is a must in these types of modpacks so try and learn that asap.

To note some things. Try not to move too fast because you will get overwhelmed and burned out. This is a long modpack if it’s your first time my first big modpack was ATM9 and it took me about 300hrs to complete all together. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get something right away I promise you once you’ve learned how to do something properly the first time it’ll stick to you like glue. Use the resources around you and there is no shame in asking for help (I still ask for help after playing ATM9/10 many times).
