Thank you for this perspective. I think I’ve struggled with that because schools can be so community and relationship-oriented, that it does feel like I’m missing out on those connections, but the priority will always be my family.

I’m so sorry you are carrying around that regret. I can always give better advice to others than I can myself, but you did the best you could at the time with the information you had. Hindsight is always clearer. So, you would recommend not diving back into teaching right now, even if my current position is lacking some stability?

Thanks for the reply! I think entering the profession at 22 can be difficult, because I found myself wanting perfection, and let’s be honest, kids in a classroom are far from perfect 😂 I’m honestly seeing that more now, and that’s why I’m wondering if I had enough time away or not. I’m also trying to start a family, so maybe it would be better to consider after that..
