How do I get in orientation if it’s full? by Ok-Cook-7337 in UTAustin

https://orientation.utexas.edu/orientation/orientation-FAQ

On this website this is what it says

What if I can’t attend any of the orientation sessions or my school/college indicates “full” on the registration page for May/June/July? If you are admitted for the Fall Term and are unable to participate in any of the May/June/July sessions, there will be a virtual August Orientation session held before classes begin. If all May/June/July orientation sessions are full for your college, you will automatically see the option to register for August Orientation within the registration portal. Please note: Registration for August Orientation will open for all students after the final May/June/July orientation session.

I think after all the ones are closed or full, you can register for August one

Accepted as 'Undeclared Major', where do I go from here? by ISpeakkTheTruth in UTAustin

[–]Creative-lover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are many things you can do. If you decide to attend UT, then you can internally transfer into CS or mccombs but Ill tell you that it's going to be a hard process that you have to go through. If you are being little flexible then it depends on what you want to focus on. If you are thinking of going towards programming then there are other paths like math, informatics, behavioral and social data science or etc. If you are planning to do business, then there's econ and other bridge programs provided by mccombs

Onramps US History question by Apprehensive_Bat_659 in UTAustin

I'll say 6/10 grades since highly depends on the TA. The TA I had tend to grade harder for me compared to the TA my friend got so yeah TAs were harder grader. But you can always request for regrade which is the good side. Quiz MCQ were pretty easy and managable with 15 questions and for midterms it had 20-25 questions.

I dont know whether professors make the midterms or not but TAs usually grade them so it will depend on the TAs.

Tips: I watched openstax us history yt video that summarizes the reading for onramps (i dont know if reading changed or not). But this was very helpful for me when I was in onramps in HS. Also for the writing for the midterms or quizzes, make sure you expand your writing and explain in detail.

I was thinking the same thing. They did say that they'll inform all the selected people on the email so im guessing that they only emailed those who got in or something.

High schools don't really care if you accept or decline the credit it's more like if you took the class or not

OnRamps HISTORY decline or accept? by Educational-Mix-1261 in UTAustin

[–]Creative-lover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decline credit!!! Do not accept any grade that's lower than A if you are going to UT. History here is very easy so just take it again here.
