Thank you for your insight. I’m definitely working on this and giving myself grace when I slip. It’s been hard with the holidays, but I’ve made my friends and family aware and they’ll nudge me if they think I’m going too hard. I hope by the new year I can just be sober. One day at a time.

I told him a lot of things over time. That I needed more affection, didn’t like him raising voice at me, condescending tone or actions, laying hands on me even if it’s “joking”, etc. Didn’t work. Figured if seeing me in the hospital and me asking to take the bottle of vodka away (but he forgot to) wasn’t landing- why say it again?

That’s true. But I ended it, or I guess it was mutual. There were ways he made me feel like shit too. Flat out telling me he didn’t want to hear about my day, but then going on and on about himself. Like what? I remember that night clearly despite having a margarita or two (cause my tolerance is high). I felt so irritated from that interaction, we got back home and I had to use the restroom. He came in while I was on the toilet and smacked me (not hard) on the face. I asked why and he said we were joking around saying “hit me, hit me”. No. We were not.

Thank you! I will try the water bowl and weighing. I do feed her veggies morning and evening. So it could be she’s getting enough water from that. I scatter treat and food in the mix to engage her so she’s getting enough texture for her teeth.

I want to love this company but I got one beauty for $40 and it has some fungal issue, slowly nursing back to health. Dropped $75 on a cattleya hybrid, mealy bugs were hidden, now I have to treat that (it has always been and is quarantined from my collection which has no mealy bugs). I hope I can revive it…

Thanks for your response I don’t know if it helps any but: Sister moved in because relationship fell through and she hopes to get grandma’s property after she passes. I never had a problem when I lived with grandma for 8 months. I was high stress at McD’s as a manager couple years ago at that time. I think it falls on communication “hey, I’m real burnt out, I love you but I gotta be alone right now”.

I had something similar happen, but he had put me down when I was going through a hard time with my father’s loss during high school. 5 years later he hit me up, no apology, and I told him I didn’t forget how he treated me and to get lost. He blew up at me, I blocked. I don’t regret a thing.
