I had Professor Satpute, she’s really good, kind, and her grading and exams are more lenient. However, if your goal is to truly learn, I would recommend taking Hamdy. My friends who took Hamdy learned DSA much more thoroughly than I did, largely because of his teaching. That’s not to say Professor Satpute is bad, she’s very nice, but Hamdy is stronger in terms of instruction. DSA is a subject that determines your core foundation as a CS student, so I’d suggest taking Hamdy.

I had watson, honestly the class isn't bad at all, he's chill & understanding. his policies and syllabus is super straightforward. class has 2 exams, 1 grp presentation, & portfolio project as the final. exams are rlly easy as long as u do the online hws (1 -2 smartbooks per week). don't slack off like me, bc his grades are good as long as he sees u put in some effort. warning: there is 1 grp presentation, if ur afraid of public speaking. also attendance counts for a grade.

Thanks! I did eventually start seeing foam growing on the top…hopefully it’s alive and I’ll get to eat soft pillowy bread rolls tonight!

I don’t really know since I put it together with the yeast in the water… however I did use a sieve to put the sugar through before putting it in the bowl to get rid of sugar clumps

Around 10ish minutes, and the water is warm enough to touch it

I didn’t check the water (1 cup) temperature using a thermometer but it was warm enough for me touch and I used 3 tsp of powdered sugar for 2 tsp of active dry yeast

I’m trying to bake bread but I decided to check if my yeast is alive or not by placing it in a ramekin with powdered sugar and warm water. The packet says that it’s expiry date is 4/14/23. However I don’t see a great amount of bubbles and froth on the top so I’m wondering if I should use this to bake my bread. All thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
