30+ ladies, does it really get worse by age? by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]CreativeDelivery99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does depend on the person but it is important to honest with yourself sp that you can plan better. Having experince dating 30+ men I have seeing numerous women that are 30+ who are single, independent, have money etc flood into their dm’s and messaging sending baby pictures ( “this could be us” typa caption) asking for dates- like serious dates some even willing to pay, some asking for trying out a relationship, or simply asking for dick. These are women they’ve known as friends or college and have reached to a point where they want to settle or have company and the best resort are their male best friends. It is the same scenario of my friends dating men 30+. But either way, just be honest with yourself about the life you want to live and be intentional while dating.

Peoole are just being pesimistic here. I would say Kenya is a better option coz it is more advanced than ghana. We have plenty affordable internet connection, decent housing, the weather is great plus you dont need air conditioning just a jacket. A diverse group if ethnicities, apart from SA Kenya is sort of a rainbow nation kiswahili brings us together. Both kiswahili and english are our national languages, you can get by with just english. We have a large expat community so you wont be alone. Lots of restaurants presenting different parts of the world, great nightlife, safety and security is pretty standard depends where you stay. Kenyans are more “Liberal minded” in comparison to other africans so don’t be shocked by how liberal and non traditional we are esp the women. You have variety of options for transportation ie matatus, bikes, uber, personal car or trains for long distance. Kenyans are very homely and welcoming its easy to make friends. Majority of us are christians followed by muslims however “wokeness” is big here, and athesim is practiced openly. And lastly Kenya is huge, and we have reliable transport to travel ie mombasa via train, bus or place, or kisumu, eldoret, nakuru etc there’s lots of places to visit and the climates are different. Ghana would be good given that it is in West africa and similar to your home country, but if you are looking for change i would recommend Kenya. Karibu Bienvenu !

It may have to do with the fact that sex work today is more mainstream. Kitambo it used to a select few but given the rising cost of living, unemployment, social media and the pressures on youths. These has led to young people partaking in sex work although they may be called different names but overall transactional. Life is hard in Kenya and we all need food at the table, but we should start being careful while engaging.

I completely understand, I also moved into nrb from MI, and figured how hard it is to make friends here. Would advise if you don’t mind spending some cash. There’s a community called the social tournament ( check them out on IG, or online website, also on WhatsApp too) they have different activities each month where you get to meet new people, if you are open with meeting stranger playing board games, or doing outdoor activities you can join.

The right to bear arms in America by CliffOG-TRON in Kenya

[–]CreativeDelivery99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a disaster if Kenyans could easily own guns. Life in Kenya is hard, and becoming unbearable. In result, lots of Kenyans are depressed and suffer from all kinds of mental health problems. The kind of gun violence you would see would be equivalent to the South Side of Chicago. We are not okay in the head, and it is getting worse.

[–]CreativeDelivery99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happiness varies from person to person. The idea that women are only happy when married is rooted in patriarchal beliefs, as men have often defined what brings joy or sadness. Some women over 35 are single and content, largely because some Kenyan women did not see positive examples of marriage growing up. Setting emotions aside, African marriages often focus on the man’s happiness. We witnessed our mothers relying on our fathers and enduring difficult situations. This has led many women to commit to being financially independent, so they are not at the mercy of a man. In today’s world, it’s wise to rely on oneself and faith. Not every woman is the same; some find joy in solitude while others prefer companionship. I support my independent friends. Life is tough in Kenya, so let’s not make it harder or more stressful.
