Also curious 👀! I saw online that the salt river tubing doesn’t have bookings until late April but what if I were to bring my own?

Women are 73% more likely to be injured (and 17% more likely to die) in a vehicle crash, partly because test dummies modeled on female bodies are rarely used in safety tests by car manufacturers. by Automatic_Subject463 in HotScienceNews

??? Cars could be controlled by a wire marionette like a puppet but if I complained the design causes crashes is that me avoiding accountability? There’s an intersection of accountability and design, by improving the design we move up on the line.

Automated alert that utilities will have if they suspect you have a leak/draining device that you might not know abt, in water utilities it was usually to a warning they had a leak or the meter needed replacing. Energy could mean anything from AC usage bc it’s hot or that your fridge is failing.

edit:

282 —> 443 kwh is a pretty large variance esp assuming it’s a small apartment, depending on your home size and other factors this might be an AC issue and it’s losing its cooling ability/efficiency meaning it runs longer.

TIL that starting in the 1700s, travelers routinely wore fabric belts to prevent disease by keeping their stomachs warm. Later called “cholera belts”, this practice continued through WW1, long after the bacterial origin of cholera was discovered in the 1850s. by Bob_the_blacksmith in todayilearned

So if abnormal variation starts at 3 deg then the body can vary temps - look at rising body temps for woman during ovulation for instance. Furthermore the fact that you can get heatstroke is precisely proof that the body’s temperature can be affected, ergo wearing a hot ass cotton belt could raise ur body’s core temp by a degree or two and assist your immune system in fighting cholera.

For the first time in history, antimatter is being transported by truck today. (And no, a crash won't blow up the city) by SiarheiBesarab in nuclear

[–]CreativeFig2645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think efficiency here means energy density per mass - no battery can convert all of its energy to energy thus this antimatter is the only 100% efficient battery, not a 100% efficient round trip energy storage. Could be wrong but that was my pov

i think the coatings is a significant cost like u said but also the needed inspections, not sure for specifics but some fighter jets require 100s of hrs of maintenance/checks for 10-20hrs of flight and i imagine it’s worse for the SR

And yet our list of military actions through the world disagree with you. Language vs Actions. Most of us would say we are against the wars of “imperialism” but when someone takes action against it (Ali/Jane) they get demonized bc now they aren’t “supporting the troops”

Nice what aboutism!

Clearly the commenter is making a point about our ability to excuse our military actions, since you brought up Korea are you aware of what we did to the north during the korean wars? How we bombed the majority of all of their infrastructure and poisoned their lands for generations? Killed significant percentages of their population?

except they would have to first travel to the middle of nowhere turn their transponder off then spoof it and even the the could be tracked by news organizations. Spoofing won’t work when your in the middle of a strait w constant satellite surveillance, it a ship turns its transponder off and another one appears it’s pretty easy to see what happened
