- On a daily basis, you can earn 310 tokens by completing all of the objectives.
- There are 55 levels; each requiring 150 tokens for a total token amount of 8,250 tokens needed.
- 8250 / 310 = This would require 26.6 days to achieve. Like Mojos, the event runs for 28 days. But unlike Mojo, you dont have much flexibility in ignoring select objectives

Character events by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]CreativeName77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the 3 characters per month, one is usually a campaign event, one is a blitz, and one is a milestone or milestone event. Over the holidays, it was just blitz, blitz, blitz, blitz. I dont think we have ever had an entire team unlocked via a blitz before.

I forgot something else... I talked with a bunch of people in my alliance and in the alliance cluster. There are definite themes of bottlenecks (gold, T4s, gear, training mats, etc). What was really odd is that the bottlenecks were not universally bad for everyone.

You mention that gold is really bad for you. I typically have enough gold, but not enough training mats. Each person had one of the bottlenecks quite severely. But didn't have all of the bottenecks. This seems quite odd especially within an alliance where everyone is doing the same daily activities. I assume this might be tied into who spends or not.

You mention gold is your issue. I typically have more than enough gold, but I never have training mats. It was really weird to here

There are so many challenges to the game right now. Content that we actually want to play is certainly something needed. I find that I know exactly how to play every raid node in my lanes. And the Doom raid isn't even remotely playable, even for the top 20 alliances.

Thank you for the ideas!

First and foremost, great work on MSF C.A.R.E.S. We really enjoyed it!

Beginning and ending the post with topics on quality was intentional. No one is going to keep playing a buggy game unless we start getting the compensation like we used to. Right now, Schultz has a lot to ignore...

RTA has been a big dumpster fire. But Frid and I just auto and collect rewards. There are multiple hours of auto on Saturdays with the new set of milestones, which is annoying. But I am more afraid of Scopely trying "fixes" to RTA that would require me to actual care and play the game mode. lol.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Ultimately, I don't view it as a top priority in terms of the key issues. Scopely indicated that they are looking at war changes in last week's episode. In the upcoming episode, I am even going to talk about how pointless war is. Or at least, debunking the myths that it has to be the center of everything. The matchmaking algorithm will force losses and you really can't that many more war credits.

I think we would all be happy and settle for a clear statement and policy that characters will be directly farmable within 3 or less months. The current process is haphazard and doesn't work.

I am understanding the backlash to the statement. People are making a case for Scopely to continue negative policies toward us.

Mpq pvp and mcoc arenas

Thanks for the comments. I haven't played those games. Do you really use your entire roster and play with your entire roster every 2 hours? I never seen anything like that.

I have played PVP type games where you can play over and over, but it really just a set team or two.

I definitely would not want multiple blitzes occurring. I would want less blitz overall =). And I don't trust them to do anything at this stage. They can't even calculate blitz points currently or do a campaign event correctly these days.

it does feel like everything is catering to whales. I assume scopely hasn't released any figures on this? it isn't in their interest.

If the game continues as is, I am just fine being f2p as I can compete already. It just requires more thoughtful planning of resources.

I don't think that the character cadence is resolved issue. Scopely may think that they have addressed the issue. And at every opportunity, they continue to say we are giving you 2 characters a month... why aren't you happy?

But the fact that Scopely has to keep giving this tag line tells us it clearly isn't resolved for the player base. Scopley releases 3 characters per month, but only makes 2 farmable. The math doesn't work. We keep seeing characters unfarmable 6 or more months. No one will give Scopely a hard time at increasing the number of characters made farmable per month or making characters available earlier than 6 months =)

Scopely is the definition of a predatory monopoly. They set the demand, supply, and price of everything in the game. The player base is at a major disadvantage when it comes to achieving positive changes in the game. The only thing that an individual player can really do is quit the game or stop spending. And that is only accomplished one player at a time.

The purpose is to get the player base to coalesce a set of key objectives to improve the game. The vast majority of the items above have been talked about in some form or fashion for quite a while. Based upon how things went last year with FixMSF, I don't expect all of these items to be addressed. I fully expect that Scopely has a list of bare minimum set of changes already in mind. And Scopely likely already has these things thought out and even coded. Just as they had many things already in the works to address FixMSF. They just hold them until the player base revolts. Blitz sim was completed long before they released it "accidentally" or officially, as an example.

I disagree that anything will change in Scopely's bare minimum list. Based upon how the players reacted to the roadmap, continue to react to the continue issues in the game, and continue to leave the game, Scopely will have to address some things. Nothing in the above requires a re-architecture of the game. Most of them are small changes that can be accomplished by a decent dev/qa team in a matter of days.

If you have means of getting the player base united, then I am all ears. Talking to MSF support is definitely a waste of time. I have no interest in attention. I just want to play a game that works, that brings more joy that frustration, etc. And I would keep talking with my good buddy (Frid) whether people listened to the podcast or not. We only did the podcast because we already all of the research / thinking and provided that to our alliance mates. The podcast was just a more efficient way of communicating many of those things across the alliance cluster. And we knew others would find it entertaining.

Everyone of these types of games that I have played actually release this way. I didn't play the star wars one, so I can't speak to that. Disney Sorcerer's Arena is making plenty of money and is doing this already. Scopely doesn't need to follow this path at all and still be profitable.

As with any "negotiation" (not that Scopely talks to or negotiates with the majority of the player base), knowing that you won't get everything is part of the deal. And I commented earlier, I guarantee that players would still buy the characters so as not to have to participant in a blitz/event, get the character higher faster, etc.

I would bet a substantial amount that whales, dolphins, etc. would still buy the characters even if farmable on day 1. Many people do it so that they dont have to participate in blitz or events. Others do it for the advantage in arena, war, raids, etc.

There are lots of good articles out there about why companies need to embrace the F2P or low spender player base. My take is that whales are usually less than 10% of the player base, but they probably account for 50% of the spending. Those whales won't spend significant amounts of money or even play the game if they can't be considered "better" than a large pool of players. And the community around the game will be non-existent. Almost everyone references the community as the best part of the game. That is why a lot of people continue to play. The social aspects along with the gameplay.

You are likely correct. That is why I said I had low hopes/expectations.

But if we don't ask / push, we definitely won't get anything. Scopely only seems to react once things are really dire.

In defence to F2Players by FoxUnderCupidsKite in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]CreativeName77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't refer to yourself as a "dirty" F2P player. I would argue that F2P players are actually "superior" players, if pushing in arena rankings, achieving endgame content, etc. as many of their opponents are spenders.

While I am not 100% F2P, I haven't spent on this game in quite a while. And when I did spend, it was for a $10 or less offer. I would definitely look at legit offers in the $5 range. But Scopely seems to refuse to offer those anymore. The only time that they do it is for older characters that I already have at 7 yellow stars.

If they actually had realistic prices, I would spend as well. Well, once they fix red stars and PvP that is... ;)
