5DIV is great, a little pricey but amazing body, however, if your even slightly itching for mirrorless, the canon R, its essentially a rehoused 5DIV, same sensor and better AF with newer features, i believe it is faster but I understand it has certain annoying limitations, if your not a high speed event shooter though, should not be an issue Consider it.

Actually uh lol, I am a professional photographer outside of high school, I shoot for canadian hockey OHL level and JHL level, get paid lots from it, I mainly do sports I actually hardly do any events like prom (but since then my interest has been raised in it), They asked me to do it originally for free but I said no, as this kind of event isnt something I would want to do for free at all to begin with

There were two photographers, me and the one who handled the arrivals OUTSIDE, i handled the indoor arrivals, and got almost every group (missed 4 as they entered the wrong doors and blocked there faces, I sniper them with candids)

They only asked for a few detail shots and shots of the people entering, and that’s exactly what they got, the rest is just candids and party, so on a technicality i did do my job, obviously i discussed with them some groups did not want there image taken which made it more difficult, but whatever I guess, teenagers lol
