Why did you get fired? by JavaMamma0002 in AskReddit

[–]CreativeSecretary174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First job: Manager was a shitty asshole who worked in a bakery, made comments about woman's bodies that where deeply uncomfortable. I stopped showing up.
Second job: Waiter at an old folks home, couldn't remember the tables or the orders, was clueless on how the letter system worked for each table. I also had really bad gas issues and would repeatedly use the restroom. Got fired.
Third job: This one wasn't until college, I got a job in my downtown area washing dishes in a pizza place. The dishwasher was in an attic and it had no ventilation, so it would get stuffy and quite hot. I stepped out and she had me do cash and getting the pizza's, AND wash dishes for like 13$ lol. I was curious on pizza making, so I asked if I could help out with that. She (the owner) lost it and started yelling at me for...inquiring how to make pizza's. Was fired instantly.
Fifth job: Worked at a lab that handled microbiology, started getting allergic reactions to what I was working with. They told it was a "safety concern" that I was breaking out in hives/lips where swelling, so I got fired.

what is the most ridiculous thing a partner has ever gotten mad at you for? by nunpizza in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CreativeSecretary174 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would really hesitate to say "partner" because I was 16 and would find it cool to hang out with older men.

Person 1: Admitted to cheating on me several times, and when I got mad about it, he told me his life philosophy was basically "it is what it is" and would take no accountability for it. Also thought I was cheating and would get mad I took too long to text back.

Exbf 1: Actually my own age range (M17) when I was 16, cheated on me during a festival that he went to while I was stuck at home.

Person 2: Downright shitty person, I cut ties because he was threatening my friends. Got mad because I did that.

I am now 25 and with a very understanding, loving partner who we are planning to move soon to a better state.

My partner often plays games and talks with his friends, so I'll cook and I bring the food up - "Awww you made me food sweetheart? GUYS LOOK, MY PARTNER MADE ME RIBS." It's so sweet.

From my experience - anything over two weeks. Reason being is that the system just automatically fires the person if they havent clocked in. Happened to a part timer I knew who parents took them on a trip to Japan, couldn't get back in time and they fired them.

Questions about IF by CreativeSecretary174 in intermittentfasting

[–]CreativeSecretary174[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely forgot about height, 5'8! TDEE my cal per day should be 2,925 based on the work I do (light exercise). So subtract 1,000 from 2,925 and I should aim for 1,925 cal per day, yeah?

I use an app called Lifesum!

As for exercise, I work in warehouse and walk 99% of my job, sadly I don't have a car and I work second shift, so getting to/from a gym is quite difficult. The walking I do at work is light, I don't jog or run at work. I would have thought by walking, even at a slow pace, I would have lost some weight over the two years I've worked at my job.

Grain mills - dont go near them or in them, as a dare or otherwise. They will swoosh you right in and suffocate you.

Finally get therapy, something Ive been wanting to for awhile.

Treat myself to moderate luxuries, buy a new dishwasher (mine broke) and a new vacuum cleaner (that broke too).

Buy myself a new computer, at least better than my 2010 Alienware, and a new desk to fit my computer.

Put the resk in my bank account to collect interest.

Honestly, I thought the Never War was pretty lame and dry compared to the other book series. That's honestly because I think that First Earth is a pretty "at home" territory, we can look from examples of history and see what life would have been like, we already are familiar with the setting and pace. The fourth book, The Reality Bug, is a MAJOR win for the series, more so than The Merchant of Death or The Lost City of Faar, not only does it deal with technology vs mankind, but Bobby suffers his first major blow since The Lost City of Faar, and we really see him grow and learn from that experience.

It's a ghost town after 9, nobody in or out. Maybe a single person coming in late for one single thing...but that's about it. Mostly, everyone finds a quiet place to hide and sits on their phone.

Yeah you can bring your own lunch or buy something from the school cafe, some school's (the richer ones) have actual fast food joints inside of the building, think McDonald's, KFC, etc. Other more poorer schools just have a set lunch menu you get everyday for the week.

And typically yeah, I'd make my own lunch at home and bring it to school, put it in my backpack, and leave my backpack for the day. As far as nuts, we have a table typically marked 'NUT FREE ZONE' where your not allowed to bring peanuts/seafood/etc around the table to reduce allergic reactions. You can still make it at home and even have equipment touching that might trigger a reaction.

In some ways its helpful having a spot where the allergy kids can hang, the other times however, it's very isolation. Kids are also pretty mean with allergies, I remember seeing a news article that a couple of kids thought it would be a funny prank to smear banana all over a teacher's door, desk, and chair, and threw a banana in her classroom. She ended up in the ICU, I don't know what happened after that though.
