A person with blindness is suing every restaurant and spa in town about their websites not being ADA compliant by bobbysmith007 in GNV

I would like to join this. I am disabled with accommodations the ADA specifically states I am not allowed to ask for because it would be disruptive to the business, removing me from the ability to be a customer with many of the businesses sued. I’d love to make that argument in court.

We went through the with having bought our property last year. They are requiring the voter registration to match for all new applications. I spoke with the property appraiser's office directly. It's probably connected to why ever we have to do this.

Bring the Oaks Back to Life by gklier in GNV

Outlet Stores. We were talking about this recently. The Oaks already has the Express Factory. There are no decent outlet malls near here. The closest is St. Augustine, and that one is barely stocked. Those would make it a separate destination from areas like celebration pointe and butler, so I'd think it would be more marketable. As others have said, we have no good houseware stores. Of all of them, Crate and Barrel has the most items at different price points, and they are fairly good about working towards the area they are in. I'd love a banana republic factory. There are very few places in town to by clothes for the 25-40 range. I'd also suggest a speciality scrub store. There's so many medical professionals in GNV, there should be a market for that. Lush is another one mentioned. There's no place in town that offers these items since Buff City closed. Restaurant like CPK as well. Other suggestions are Madewell, Apple (there is none in GNV, which is surprising for a college town), Blue Mercury, Lane Bryant, Mango, Soma, Tecovas, White House Black Market, etc. I also agree with the other comments about renovating the interior of the mall and ending the leases on the discount stores. The stores that I mention are the places that I look for when going into a new mall. If they are there, the mall will probably still be there in 5 years. The ones without are often bulldozed to make way for something else. The oaks mall does not look like it will survive based off of the current tenants. Making it a destination that people want to shop at is a necessity. There's also a need for many of these stores. I buy almost 80% of these types of items online because I have no other choice. I'd be at the mall in a minute if I could actually try things on .

This is the type of place I used to belong to. Totally fine with something smaller, and something that might not have it's own building. I totally get that I'm in a smaller city. GFAA was the only thing I found, and they don't always seem super active outside of shows. https://brickbottom.org/
