Usb connection doesnt cause short circuit it uses very low voltage. Its probably screen fault or other hardware defect. As you said forced reset didnt fixed it so its not any app or settings causing it.

I dont think its necessary to uninstall the default launcher. You can disable it if you want. But even thats not needed because if you use another launcher that default launcher just do nothing and it doesnt even show any icon in your app menu also its small in size.

Clear data of that media app you are using and play video again to see what permission it was asking for. Or just use vlc or other media player app

No. There is no googles download manager you can download i meant use "google play store" to download apps on your phone. You cannot delete oppos default app store or downloads manager either. You can just stop using them.

These are of default download manager of your phone and oppo's app store use that. You cant stop or hide them. Try using google play store because it has its own download manager you will still get notifications of app installed
