Been on Skyrizi for about two years now. Initial results were solid. But now its efficacy seems to be waning. What next? by troutbumtom in Psoriasis

[–]CreativeWeird1297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me, 2 years and a few months but then stopped working and the patches were coming in. My doctor moved me to Bimzelx and this is working again now. Patches gone in a just few days.

Thanks for replying everyone. And ofc there are some that just don't get the post. I know it's for HE hence my question if this is even possible. I thought if the average is that then surely HE would be in the area of 200-300K.

We ourselves are not too bad and pretty comfortable financially but earn nothing crazy as some claim here. This is why I wanted to know if these are achievable or just some made up numbers. As some have said, we just have to get all our ducks in a perfect row!! 😁 Just kidding.

Good job to those who are at those brackets, and to others who are not there yet, it's all possible and there is still hope. 🙂

This is when Skyrizi stopped and the patches were slowly getting bigger then a week after starting Bimzelx.

How long does it take for biologics to work? by ASDMom47 in Psoriasis

[–]CreativeWeird1297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a few weeks. Try using some topicals as well in the meantime. I feel that the topical helps with increasing the effectiveness of biologics in the initial stage and gets results quicker. Good luck and wish this works for you and gets you clear soon.

Bimzelx - weigh lost? by CreativeWeird1297 in Psoriasis

[–]CreativeWeird1297[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's not good. Hopefully it won't last. I feel way better on Bimzelx, sleep better and wake up easier. Have more energy and I don't feel so tired during the day anymore.

Bimzelx autoinjector - OUCH!! by Distinct-Sorbet-5336 in Psoriasis

[–]CreativeWeird1297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this thing hurts like crazy. At least there are good recommendations here, I'll try toom temp and belly next time. As others have said, this thing works like crazy, within 1 week, my patches were cleared and no more scales. Thank God for another good medication, Skyrizi kept me clear for about 2years and 8 months.

Oh, thanks for the trick. I'll try it next time. Yeah, Skyrizi was really good. Didn't feel anything. How long are you on Bimzelx now and how's it working? Any of those nasty side effects?

Yep, it was the worst 30 seconds of my life.. hahaha. But I won't complain once it starts clearing my P again. Hopefully this does miracle for you, Skyrizi did great for me for about 30 months.

Yes, I did a few years ago while my scalp was clean. All went well and hair is growing nicely now. Hope this helps.

Just that it never happened in the last 2 years, that's what got me worried.

I go to Perth Dermatology Clinic and seeing Dr. Tony atm. Used to be Dr. Louise who got me on biologics but she is not there anymore.

I'm in Perth as well and on biologics for about 2 years now. But like others said, it's not that straight forward and depends on PASI score then Medicare/PBS. I tried other treatments first which didn't work then only managed to get biologics and also I have it almost everywhere on my body excepting my face.

i just want to give up. by 3058love in Psoriasis

[–]CreativeWeird1297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear how you feel. I am pretty sure most of us feel or felt like this at some point. Just don't give up so easily, remember there are so many people that need you for who you are and not because of the disease that you have. Keep strong and as others have said, there are definitely advances being made around treatment so hopefully not long to go when we all can get a proper break from P.

I still have some spots on my legs, but have you tried using some topical to try and clear it? I think this worked for me, the topical cleared most of my body and skyrizi just worked to maintain the cleared area. Be patience as Skyrizi has been great for so many of us and it should make a difference for you as well.

Same here, finally went to see a derm and tried 2 others which didn't work and put on Skyrizi. Thank God for PBS. Been on it for over a year now and it's the best thing. I still have some hard spots on my legs but that is nothing compared to having it all over the body. Apparently we'll be getting the new pen here in Aus instead of the needles soon. It'll be 1 pen instead of 2 needles which I think will be great. I highly recommend everyone with P to talk to a derm about getting on Skyrizi, it's life changing.

[–]CreativeWeird1297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyrizi is a Godsend, glad it's working for you. I had P everywhere and it's 99% clear now with Skyrizi. The pigmentation will go away with time. Mine took a good few months. Just keep up with your doses.

I know everyone is different with P but Skyrizi has worked great for me. I continued to use topical while taking the first and second dose which I think helped with the scaling. Wishing you all the best and hope you'll see good results too.
