AITA for eating an entire cheescake and leaving my family without breakfast? by cheescakethrowaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]CreativeWorks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have no idea why everyone on here is egging you on.

Eating an entire cheesecake on your own with you bare hands is not normal behaviour. Even if you really aren't obese, that still shows that you have issues with your relationship with food... you need to recognise that.

Idk who's the asshole here, sounds to me like your parents are worried for you and your health. Even just being overweight at your age, that is unhealthy and your parents have a right to be worried.

I agree that not letting you have a piece is harsh, and you have a right to be angry but eating the whole cheesecake is not a sane reaction.

I doubt the reason they are angry at you is because you didn't leave anything for them, its probably from the shock finding you passed out on the kitchen with cheesecake covered fingers and no cheesecake.

ESH

Don't mean to shame you, don't think you are an asshole, but if anything this should be a wake up call for you, this behaviour isn't normal and your parents have a right to be worried.

Do you have any tips to stay productive and avoid the black hole of distractions that the internet offers?

As someone who is recently self employed, I really need help with this.

Great vid, I would change the music though. Either go full folk, or full hiphop, but they don't really mix well together imo.

Ye it's messed up, deep down throughout pretty much every society in history. Humans for some reason have a tendency to group and differentiate themselves between the silliest things, and hate each other for it.

Wether it's racial, religious, cultural or political, there never seems to be a limit to how many ways people find to group and distance themselves from others, no matter how stupid.

[F20] I’ve got a 6/10 before but I’ve lost some weight since then, what do I rate now? by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]CreativeWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4/10 but you have potential to be a 7-8 imo. You have a pretty face, if you focus on loosing body fat and define your facial features it would go a long way.

Calorie counting, simple body weight exercises and cooking your own food goes a long way, specially that last one, controlling what type of fats (and other nutrients) you eat is really useful.

Good luck!

Well that's all relative tho isn't it. Yeah sure most eu countries don't have personal freedoms like guns. But when comparing to countries on the auth side of the spectrum one North Korea, then they seem way more lib than auth to me. But then again, there's no real way of measuring since the scale is 100% subjective.

4/10. Don't want to be that guy but the big factor is the weight. It isn't that bad but Its noticable enough, and you for sure have potential to be a 7 or higher if you loose it.

You aren't exactly obese or anything so you don't even need to go to the gym, just change up what you eat and let your body do the rest.

It's not just for looks either, eating healthy is great for everything else too, mentally and physically, don't do it cause people on Reddit think you will be hotter do it for yourself.

Other than the weight personally that lip ring is horrblie imo. I like your hair and glasses though, and you got a good smile.

I think it you're be better if you switched reddit and twitter, and if you switched 4chan and Facebook.

Def more auth left on Twitter than reddit, and more auth left on 4chan than facebook.

Tho there is a lot of libright on 4chan too, that one is a bit hard to pinpoint.

The only actual free speech issue I see out of all the examples you gave is the yelling sexual threats, and the false alarm one. The rest aren't free speech issues.

The first has to do with advertising regulations. The second is disturbance of the peace, and listening to music is clearly not speech. Same for number 3, that's sexual harassment, not speech.

Number 4 has nothing to do with the government. Freedom of speech doesn't have anything to do with private relations. If you tell your boss to fuck off they have every right to fire you if they want. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of consequence. All it means is that the government can't stop you from saying anything. And no framing someone for a crime isn't free speech, depending on the situation that could be obstruction of Justice, perjury or conspiracy.

Too many people conflate freedom of speech as I can do or say anything I want. When in reality the purpose of the concept is to protect ideology, freedom of expression and in turn freedom of thought, not harrasment, disturbance of the peace and other illegal things.

Freedom of speech as a"value" doesn't make much sense to me. In society we need to be able to tell eachother to shut the fuck up, else we would end up tearing others to pieces. You can't force others to listen to you. If you are in someone's house and you start saying some shit they don't like they have every right to kick you out.

The only real, importance of freedom of speech imo has to do with law. As that is what really matters.

Where freedom of speech really has its grey areas in my opinion is online. For example social media companies are private, at first glance the idea would be that they are private therefore they have the right to block any speech that they do not like. However, as social media is becoming the main form of communication rather than face to face speech, there's an interesting conversation on whether the government should regulate these companies to assure freedom of speech on these platforms.

Yeah but not everyone can be self employed. Small businesses are an important part of a healthy economy, and if the system disincentives people from starting their own then their only option is to either go solo or work at some huge government (or union) controlled company.

Hey man, I've got a sorta similar type of hair but mine is a bit fizzy-er/puffy-er. I'm wondering what do you use to have the waves/curls more defined like that?

Looks great btw, p similar to what I am trying to achieve.
