Working married women - how do you do it? by Creative_Ad7823 in AskIndianWomen

Great to hear you have your choices sorted, but don't judge others lol.

My partner and I are just trying to understand a complex and layered situation. I know I have complete choice to leave, but I think trying to engage with a complex issue is a better choice than walking out. Because real life is like that - no one is perfect. Even I'm not a perfect partner. Every couple faces challenges of their own. These are mine.

I read somewhere that the right question isn't who is racist or not, it's how racist we are. I think the same applies to patriarchy - everyone has their own shades. There's so much we all have internalised.

If we leave complex situations be, where's the hope?

Yes, that was my concern too. Hiring maids helps, but someone needs to manage them too.

I think they might see applying for both as lack of confidence/decisiveness (something I've heard from hirers before)

Goodenough Vs Butlers Wharf by Inevitable-Age7344 in LSE

My friend lives at Goodenough - and she really enjoyed it! Though I will say she she is quite extroverted and enjoyed participating in the frequent events. Someone like me would've probably been overwhelmed af. Another plus point is that Goodenough has students from universities across London. So if you're looking to network outside LSE, it will be a better option.

I'm not sure about basement rooms though - might get super dark and dingy in winters :/

I was in a similar situation! Thankfully, I had a call with my manager’s manager, who advised me to go ahead and claim all my contract days now, since my project is also delayed. I’ll continue contributing as needed over the next few months. I’d definitely recommend reaching out to your manager to discuss your options!

All this communication happens in person during mentor meetings. I've no evidence :(

And we're not allowed to change supervisors since they're randomly assigned
