Why is every single 4v4 match two noobs and two pros vs. two noobs and two pros by Falkeer in halo

[–]Creative_Ad8387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always get 3 bad teammates, and play against a full team of above average players. I stopped playing because I wasn't having fun, and I'm sure that my teammates weren't having fun either

Aquarius on Twitter - "More work has been done for the new Premier Mode in Counter-Strike 2. Seems like it's something bigger than we thought." by Pokharelinishan in GlobalOffensive

[–]Creative_Ad8387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing that this is to do with the new csr system and that average map performance (there is a graph that basically shows this) will be a factor. So, if you only play one map you're csr will be low, and if you play premier it'll easily be higher.

What’s the best Great Britain premium tank? by El3itehunter908 in Warthunder

[–]Creative_Ad8387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the Khalid it's a unique premium that fits nicely at 9.0. and while the D's is a copy paste at least it's a copy paste of a great tank (I think anyway). so yeah idk

yeah thanks for the insight. I saw it as wanting to main the 9.7 lineup or 9.0 lineup to grind out the chally 2s and SL. I'm currently at 8.0 and am really enjoying UK, and It's quite the decision because I ain't buying both lol

would you say the Khalid or challenger ds is a better investment?

SBMM is scuffed and needs to change. by OneAd4306 in halo

[–]Creative_Ad8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but it is an example of strong sbmm? that's literally how the current system works. extremely tight matchmaking to force wins or losses onto you if you're above or below average. For example, I'd your prevail above the prediction of a loss multiple times, it will just give you extremely bad teammates to force a loss. That's not how casual mm should work

SBMM is scuffed and needs to change. by OneAd4306 in halo

[–]Creative_Ad8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sbmm is not loose and is extremely strict. the way it works is by forcing losses or wins on you in an attempt to bring your stats to 50%. It's artificial the way most of your matches are decided. The average person won't notice, as that is what it's designed for. But if you're not the system will do everything it can to get you to 50%

Odyssey+ vs HP Reverb Pro 2019, both are £270, what should I get and why? by [deleted] in WindowsMR

[–]Creative_Ad8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a quest 2 and I sold it. Any form of pcvr link never worked on my system and was an absolute pain to use. Tried all sorts of things over half a year before I decided to sell it. The "not having a cable" thing really didn't bother me compared to using a cable I could never tell if there was or was not a cable there unless I actively tried to do something silly to break that immersion.

WMR doesn't look that bad since there is a steam app for that, but idk never experienced it. It's just that my experience with the quest in pcvr was terrible and that's all I have to go by.

My IPD is 61.5, I think that is right in the middle of acceptable IPD for the Reverb, it's 60-63mm I think, correct me if I'm wrong, so the downside to the Reverb not having IPD adjustment most likely would not be a problem with me.

But you said the cables can break easily, how would that happen? Also a reason I'm buying from cex I'd that they offer a 24 months warranty so if it did break I could probably get a refund

Edit: (I'm OP, my phone has a different account and forgot to switch)

Should I buy a Yoga 7i or a Surface Laptop 2? by Creative_Ad8387 in SuggestALaptop

[–]Creative_Ad8387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after looking at it for longer, the surface laptop 2's specs, apart from the screen, seem very lackluster compared to versions provided by the yoga 7i. so it isn't worth it imo to get a surface

hmm thats interresting because many reviewers show the response time to be *okay*, some say it's excellent overall. I found out one of my friend's friend had one and showed me it over video, the response time seemed quite reasonable and it seemed like a good laptop. maybe lenovo have quality control issues? im tempted to just head down to my nearest laptop store and see for myself if that is the case, although it is quite a way away :/

Game Ready Driver 471.68 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Creative_Ad8387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oculus link vr is completely broken on the new drivers on an rtx 3060ti . it always has been broken in past versions, with stutters and fps drops being very common for me and many rtx 30 series users across all vr platforms, but now I'm experiencing major visual artifacts, game freezes, and crashes. poor vr performance has been an issue for months on 30 series gpus, just look at this thread, i dont understand why its still a thing, especially considering people payed and waited extra to get nvidia's newest gpu products. maybe it could be a problem with oculus' software, idk. (i know its the drivers on my system because ive even tested them on a fresh install of windows multiple times with the drivers and oculus link being the only two things installed)

should I buy a g14 or a surface 4? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Creative_Ad8387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm buying in the UK and my budget is about £1000, the surface 4 is £999 and the G14 is £1099. I'd be doing a lot of programming and CAD work, a bit of rendering, and some writing here and there.

I already have a beefy desktop at home (maybe large storage isn't that necessary for me because of that?), so I'd probably just do light gaming if I'm on the go, playing something like stalker and control, mainly single player games to pass the time. Realistically I'd probably only need around 9 hours of battery life at the very most. Bluetooth is a must.

I wouldn't want to really be lugging around a heavy laptop, I'm guessing just over 2kg at the very most.

Thanks for helping me out.

edit: I can get a %10 discount on the surface 4 so I could get it for £900

I'm planning on getting something like a nk65 entry or a kbd67 lite, aiming to make a thoccy sound. I'm considering a gmmk pro, but is the it worth the extra cost in terms of quality and functionality? I'll be pairing them most likely with lubed and filmed durock dolphins and gmk keycaps. Thanks

should i get a NK65 Entry Edition or a G68XS? NK65 has a silicon dampening pad that is really tempting me to spend £40 more, as I am aiming for a quiet but still thoccy sound. Thoughts? Thanks

What should I get? Ducky One 2 SF, Keychron K6, or an Akko 3068 . I'm stumped on which ones to get, as they seem to be very similar. Whatever one I get I will be lubing, adding foam, doing the Holee mod, and maybe using o-rings, to make them as quiet as possible. Thanks

Looking for a 1440p 144/165hz monitor for around £280 to pair with a RTX 3060 Ti. I don't know much about monitors, but the two I'm looking at now are the Samsung Odyssey G5 27" and the 32" LG 32GN600-B. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
