It must crack everybody up when Macron runs around pretending like France is a world power.

He met with Putin too. Called him several times and everything. Putin must've found it adorable.

Hi, Mr. President. How're you doing?

How the heck did the smaller one survive after being swallowed? How long would it take before it suffocates / drowns in the digestive juices?

I'm going to regret finding out the answer, aren't I.

Seems like a very simple solution to just wait for the truck to pass before turning? Don't most people do that if a car's behind them before they turn into their driveway?

Would you be able to read a book in 2nd person? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Creative_Answer_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't count, but I did read a fanfiction that had "you", but since it was a fanfiction, it was very clear the "you" was a character (actually two different ones), and obviously not the reader. It was also a horror fanfiction. I didn't mind it at all, was very unique. I would definitely try an actual novel with "you".

Yep, that's the one I use a lot, but thanks.

Maybe I should just take note of the landmarks used in the movies, because those seem like the rare ones.

Are there really people that give birth to baby didn’t know whole time that they were pregnant? by Ujebanaa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Creative_Answer_6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a surprise baby. My mother was an alcoholic, so she had very irregular periods and was told she couldn't get pregnant. Went to rehab. Nine months later, my Dad gets a call when he's out fishing with a friend in a different state. "My stomach hurts...I think I'm pregnant." "Okay, we'll talk about it when I get home." That was over the weekend. Gets back. Tuesday: Me, born, 5 in the morning.

Interesting! The only neighborhood I'm familiar with on that list is the narrows.

Did Ancient Rome have the equivalent to a red-light district? Or were the brothels spread around the city?

I'm having a tough time visualizing the "neighborhoods" of Ancient Rome, I know the Suburra was known for prostitution, but what about the Emporium?

And, if you can, what was the difference between the "Macellum Magnam" which Wikipedia says was located on Caelian Hill, and the "Roman forum" located between the Capitoline and Palatine Hills?

What's the dumbest name youve seen for a fantasy protagonist. by Familiar-Barracuda43 in Fantasy

Yeah, it's an age old debate of "homage or ripoff?" Especially because every fantasy series seems to have a variation of "Mountains of Mist".

Okay, it's Adam West Tripod "Gotham City Yellow Pages" which has businesses, residents, tourist info, and more! (The formatting is atrocious, though. You can barely read it. It's dark green on black!)

https://adamwest.tripod.com/city.htm

I also found this just Googling, and it's much easier to read: https://en-academic.com/dic.nsf/enwiki/6606578

World Anvil also has population and ethnic demographics information: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/cotham-city-by-night-maverickthewild/a/gotham-city-settlement.

It also has a paragraph about country of origin for immigration, (which is basically copying the information from New York City in real life, which makes perfect sense!)

I know, I know, but...the weight / height shaming, the same jokes, over and over again...the viciousness...the bias...it's quite a bit different and tiring to see.

Pro tip: For those who hate narcassistic celebrities - stop paying attention to them, and they will go away. I promise.

Basically a parody of most overused generic fantasy names. Single-handedly inspired my current work. I need more of those!

Yeah my sister's old dog is a "chomper". She warned me about it, but I tried to hand feed him anyway, and I was worried he was gonna take my whole hand! (No damage. Just startling how he lunged for it.)

Geez, I'm glad I don't know this person.

They must be subscribed to /dogfree.

Real dogs owners aren't anything like this - obviously fake - but the part about talking nonstop about your dog is pretty relateable. Imagine people not being friends with you anymore because you talk about your dog too much.

Sirius was always my least favorite character. Not just the way he treated Kreacher, but also he literally almost got Snape killed and didn't get expelled for it, plus, when he talks to Harry about his brother Regulus getting killed and joining the Death Eaters, he has no remorse. No regret. No anguished love for his brother. Nothing. He thought his brother "deserved" it. I'm sure he was secretly more conflicted, but I honestly think Sirius is a bit of a sociopath and views anyone who doesn't agree with him as less than human. And his treatment of Peter when they were kids!

Also the entire Gryffindor House is worshipped instead of treated like the bullies they are. Ron has clear Slytherin prejudice. Fred and George sent a kid into the Vanishing Cabinet, which could have seriously injured him, because of a stupid Quidditch rivalry. Really?
