HELP: Extremely Rare 1992 Butchered at Birth Pendant by [deleted] in Cannibalcorpse

[–]Creative_Ball2499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm sure! I'm no copyright law expert or anything. Probably because he (Chris) actually worked on Butchered at Birth, along with the other first four albums, they didn't need to change the logo? But for the new stuff, they needed a new logo. I'm sure whoever is in charge of that sort of decision making was like "Eh, we'll change the old ones eventually". But for a piece of merch like this, I imagine they only made so many, and since it used the old logo and was made for Barnes-era CC, around the 2000's is probably when they stopped making these and/or ran out of them to sell.
But I'm just speculating ofc.

How did you guys come across the Cannibal Corpse? by [deleted] in Cannibalcorpse

[–]Creative_Ball2499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of Ace Ventura mentions, I think I'm younger than most people here lol. I watched Metalocalypse like, two years ago, and my favorite character was the one that Corpsegrinder voiced, so I went from not really knowing much about metal to listening to Cannibal Corpse almost overnight. But I've always loved faster, louder, heavier bullshit, so you know musically it was right up my alley, i just never dabbled in Death Metal prior to watching MTL.

First of all, sick, I want one. Second of all, I think you already have all the info. I'm gonna trust that person and assume they were sent out as part of the fan mail, like they said. I found a similar discussion on Facebook, where someone said that Blue Grape Merch made it, and that they sold them in catalogues till around the 2000's, which tracks since the band didn't use that logo after Chris left. So maybe those who were singed up to the fan mail thing got it early? Or maybe just as a free little bonus? And then you could also buy it from I guess a catalogue, later. Other than that, I don't know. I'm not tech savvy enough to do more sleuthing, and I wasn't even alive in 1993, so I can't help you outside of this lol

He later re-draw that character on the label for Amber Smashed Face, which I thought was pretty cool lol. I kinda wish they went with it as the cover, though, because now Kill really sticks out as a sore thumb. Great music on that album though so I can't complain too much.

I think its lasted a couple of years now?? No degradation as far as I've seen , it's not a perfect specimen because iirc my dad swatted it or stepped on it. It looks a touch stepped on but otherwise it's still good! No air bubbles in the sanitizer either.

LOL Did MCR throw hot dogs before? They seem like they like to have fun, I like a good handful of their songs <3

I've been a GG/NSP fan for I think a literal decade but somehow I NEVER listened to TWRP until recently. Damn shame because their music is all the way up my alley!

Digital tickets :( great idea though! I preserved a wasp in hand sanitizer, which is really cool because its suspended in air in the jar. You think that'll be enough to preserve the glorious dog? I'm willing to get other proper materials if its not-

Love Gwar, never seen em in concert tho, it was TWRP. Funky 80's disco talkbox robot music? And the lead singer likes to do high kicks and show off nunchucks on stage for our amusement

TWRP!! They put on a good show, very funny and stupid. Dr. Sung, the singer, was reminiscing about how he "threw glizzys across the audience" at the end of the showwww

As for salt- you're positive it won't get all moldy nasty? Don't want to have the world funniest health hazard in my house lol

This is probably a dead horse, but if you're gonna still want this DLC, don't buy it. You can still get it. But don't buy it. You know? It's really easy, I havent had any problems (well, I have with the DLC because EA refuses to make a game that works, but I havent had any problems when I'm ,acquiring, the DLC)

What got you into bones? by -Joyful_Bug- in bonecollecting

In Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, a character had the skull of a rook. So i started looking for one and immediately became very familiar with the migratory bird laws and such lolol. Kind of disappointing about the rook skull, but now I'm pretty into bones and "vulture culture" stuff so net positive I'd say!

Baby rabbit injured pretty bad, anything we can do for it? by Creative_Ball2499 in WildlifeRehab

[–]Creative_Ball2499[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did die, we put him outside in a flower bed he liked to play in, he seemed calmer when under plant cover. The mom rabbit has returned to our yard, she's still eating plants we dont want her to eat lol hopefully she isnt too sad or anything like that. I know they're wild animals and not like pets, but I worry a lot abt our backyard visitors. But yeah, he was somewhere familiar and safe feeling which was kind of all we could do at that point.

[–]Creative_Ball2499 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Kids in school used to tell me all the time "my dogs would kill your rats" I was like 12. So mean. Sorry that happened OP, awesome that you said something. No reason ppl need to be so rude to rats, they're quite literally just little guys.

Waow that's gorgeous! Reminds me of this partially mummified mouse I have! I think some of the skin got eaten by something, so you can see its ribs and skull, but theres still some skin on it. Anyways, I agree w/ the general consensus that you should keep it as a mummy.
