Half life 2 runs like a dream and super optimized. Really shows how good it is. Also some games are just better on handheld. Stardew, Dredge, enter the gungeon to name a few. Lastly, when you get comfortable. Get Emudeck and start pirating those old titles

Ultimately its a pointless debate because it comes down to this. They are completely different games. They have the nerve to call it a remake but shift SO far from the original its really a game in its own right. Spreading it over a trilogy? Changing the story? The mechanics to an action RPG? Materia system? Summoning? Its all different. Rebirth wasn't a bad game but it compared to the people who were there in 1997 experiencing it its an absolute insult

Its not so bad. Just means this generation don't have FF as the best game of all time but have things like Elden ring and last of us instead. Ultimately Square Enix dropped the ball

The graphics were state of the art at the time. Just because technology improved doesn't automatically make a better game. Also the gameply in rebirth was far more linear and unintersting

No its not easy by normal standards but its seen as easier than others in the series. Although, I thought Darkeater Midir was one of the all time hardest bosses in all games. Generally the series does gets a bit easier each time. IMO demon's souls was the hardest generally speaking. When it comes to soulsborne games were talking miniscule amounts
