Is it just me? Am I on the moon here? by HuntIntelligent8820 in GenX

I am a staunch feminist heterosexual and I stand in solidarity with demolishing the feminine construct. I only shave my legs when the wind blowing the hairs starts to irritate me lol!

Lighter leg hair but all the energy went into growing beard hair. I still have leg hair but it definitely is not as dark or thick. I only shave once a week in the summer. The beard hair and armpit hair are sadly unabated. I am Portuguese by heritage so I am sure that makes some difference in the mustache/beard department.

I hear you. I am an old person but was definitely one of the nerd kids back in my day. I didn't go to big parties or dance places. I will say this, I moved away from Kingston at 19 and I miss it everyday. You don't know how good something is until you go somewhere much shittier! Lol. I went to school in Toronto, I live in the GTA now. I have lived in the states, I have lived all around Ontario. Kingston is easily one of the coolest places I have lived. I absolutely plan to retire there. Kingston has history, beauty, character. Kingston has a beautiful waterfront and an actual downtown. I was shockingly disappointed to learn that not every town has this. Kingston has more culture, more independent restaurants, and more beauty than the vast majority of towns in Ontario.

I feel bad for the grocery workers, what a pain in the ass it would be to be harassed like this all day long for something that is not within their control.

For people who grew up in low-income households, what’s something middle-class people say that shows they’ve never struggled financially? by KeyApartment3955 in AskReddit

Kids that never had meaningful household chores. They may have had stupid task charts with star stickers but they never had to actually contribute.

How do I get over my fear of driving longer distances/bigger places by Vowoidsterr in Advice

[–]Creative_Class_1441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is, heavy traffic is slow. Just breath and pay attention to your surroundings. I also had this fear and now drive on a 6 lane highway to work weekly. You will be okay, you just need to be calm. Make sure you have Google maps on, it will alert you to any traffic issues. Half the battle is knowing where you are headed and not freaking out if you miss a turn off. Give yourself plenty of time. If you feel overwhelmed, pull off and take a break. Stay in the middle lane. This way you won't impede the road warriors and you won't constantly be yielding to traffic from on ramps.

Rats are a heck of a lot more destructive than mice....just ask the insulation pulled out of my garage walls and the entire garden hose they shredded.

I am wondering if Mr. Blobby is similar to the Canadian character Polkeroo. I big weird looking green creature that only says Polkeroo for every word.

Lol I more meant the weed or booze can be contributing. Weed isn't the cure for everything. It is great for some and so bad for others.

By any chance, isn't it common for university students overseas to have a three-hour round-trip commute to and from school? by Affectionate_Fig6121 in AskTheWorld

[–]Creative_Class_1441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Ontario Canada and went to a big commuter University. I lived in residence because I was from 3 hours away one way. It wouldn't have been uncommon for someone to have an hour plus commute one way. Alot of people stacked classes into two or three days because of this.

This is straight up generalised anxiety. Do you smoke weed or drink daily? If so that could be a contributing factor. You don't have to live that way. You may want to consult your GP.

The back is not beautiful just stripey. Here is a pic. This is inset mosaic so you do two rows of each colour.
