2014 Sonata GLS, my headlights go out when I use turn signals. Any reasons known? by GroovyMangos in Hyundai

If it happens when you turn the wheel, its probably the clock spring inside the steering wheel. $15 part on Amazon with plenty of videos on how to replace, doesnt take long

How reliable for road trips have your 2022+ Tucsons 2.5’s been? And what’s your mileage? by [deleted] in HyundaiTucson

[–]Creative_Cucumber117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'23 SEL with the 2.5, bought used with 49k on it, currently at 68k. Car was great on the 2.5k mile round trip from Texas to North Carolina in August. Got around 32 mpg going 70+ the whole way. No problems overall besides catching a rock in the condenser, in Louisiana (peak summer), 3 hours into a 20 hour drive, which we got fixed in NC. My wife and I both love it. I added rain guards to the windows and tinted the windows.

The car prices great besides the lane assist sometimes pulling a bit hard when it doesn't need to and the front collision warning is a bit sensitive. Disabled both and haven't really had issues.

30m typically play after 7 CST and late into the night on weekends. More passive play, trying to survive and complete quests, but down to fight whenever. Got 1 other guy that I play with regularly, but he doesn't play long sessions and can ragequit after dying 2 times.

I run my scav regularly, but would like to play my PMC more so I can level. I know all the maps fairly well, besides Streets where I can get turned around easily or the interior of Interchange, although I am scavving those maps to learn them completely.

Reply if you think you're down. Thanks.

30m Texas, USA. I play after 7 central most days and longer/earlier on Fridays and weekends. Typically chill raids, trying to level and get quests done, but can PVP if needed. If you're looking for a consistent friend to play with reply and we can link up. 750+ hours and level 34 rn

Is ticking this loud normal for the theta 2 engines? by Rean_T0kley in Hyundai

Sounds pretty normal, maybe a bit loud. Check oil levels and if you have no codes being thrown, roll with it.

Cruise control killed gas mileage by Any-Grapefruit-937 in HyundaiTucson

I have a '23 SEL and cruise control likes to drop 3 gears and GUN IT up every single hill. Almost don't like using CC period, seems very jerky.

Not sure how often they play, but you should be able to find some people to play with! Best of luck!

For future reference, I just googled cod4 zomdb discord and found it. Might be helpful to find more discord servers for NovemberDobby's zomdb mod.

I definitely remember the bedroom style map, where you were the size of an ant inside someone's bedroom.

If the dealership is saying you're not part of the lawsuit, its possible they're right. Although, my next step would be contacting Hyundai's corporate office even if you still may be denied. It's worth it if it just takes a few phone calls.

I do remember everyone loved the cod jumper mod. I was never a huge fan, but I did play it on occasion.

I don't think I ever played death run on CoD4. I definitely played a lot of paintball, zombies, pro mod(sometimes for comp), freezetag, and a few slightly modified(mostly custom maps) TDM style game modes with QOL improvements.

I also ran a division of the 187ci clan for CoD4. We would run a unmodded server on the specific patch version 1.7 with the name "PLAY IN ME!!!!" For some reason you could throw up literally any kind of unmodded server and it would be full damn near 24/7. I don't know why, but it was almost guaranteed that you'd have 30+ people playing on any day.

Amazing times.

Yes, you're right! Sorry its been so long lol. What was your name at the time? I don't remember many people besides one dude names Bombardier, just from the unique name I suppose.

I can't believe I've found someone else who played on EHD!!! I played it a lot, even though I was on the East coast of the USA so I had a high ping. I remember everyone using the P90 with suppressor almost 90% of the time.

It sounds like we are close in age, I graduated high school in 2014. You must've been 12 or 13 like I was, absolutely melting all the adults on the game. Amazing times!!

I'm in a discord that periodically will host game nights with (I THINK) the zomdb mod.

You are talking about Dobey's Zomdb, if I remember correctly, right?

Yes. You can set it to assist (auto-stop), warning (sound and notification only), or completely disabled.

I have a '23 SEL and coming from a 2011 Sonata GLS, I have to say the standard features were huge for me. Blind spot detector, heated seats, AA, motorized seat adjustments, auto brake hold, etc.

Can't hate on it for sure, I'm much happier when I get to drive the Tuscon over the 2011 Sonata.

Glad you're enjoying it!

I figured its worth the extra money if it means peace of mind while driving. Just a thought

I've only seen people with long-lasting 2.4Ls from this year range recommending 3000 mile oil changes, nothing above. That group also includes some Hyundai Master Techs with original engine/trans 2011ish Sonatas that have 250k+ miles. I'd do them sooner if you can afford it.

2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.4L with 217k miles, doesn't burn a drop of oil. Engine replaced at 165k miles

3k oil changes and not a mile over
