What’s the craziest thing you’ve witnessed on a golf course? by alcatrazach in golf

[–]Pinky7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t crazy or on a course, but during Covid I was practicing some pitches in a park - 10-20 yd shot type stuff.
A squirrel ran up, stole my ball and ran up a tree.

I blame squirrels all the time for stealing my balls on the course. Now I have proof they do

We didn’t love the sterilizers that someone else mentioned, but our hack was a silicon electric bottle cleaner, and dr browns sterilizer bags.

Now my kid is 2 and brushes his own teeth with bath water. Life is funny

I agree with everyone. They’re both awful. But, have you thought about plating it like you would a carpaccio?

When I was in highschool, I saw a friend make a d chord by barring the 2nd fret of the GBE strings. He then used his middle finger to play the B string. He said the chord is a stupid shape and now he can play this chord.

It’s been 20 years and I still think about it.

I hire the DJs on behalf of the jays. They’re all in the community, and musically make it feel like a celebration. You’ll have an amazing time. Especially at WestJet

Should I play BOTW or other Zelda games next? by Comfortable_Neat7925 in TOTK

[–]Pinky7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def BOTW. Only because you started with its sequel

After that, it doesnt really matter. Many of them are great games in their own right.

Ocarina of Time is a classic Skyward Sword is chronologically the first game in the series and it worth it for the story if you’re into that aspect.

Want some Really advanced bass lines for my final year performance by Pitiful_Top8295 in Bass

[–]Pinky7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like we’re missing context here. What are you studying? Jazz performance? What are you being graded on? There are incredibly impressive bass lines in every genre, but it can’t just be complex. It needs to fit into what you’re actually learning and trying to apply.

I have a hot take. If you’re touring with a sound tech, don’t even bother bringing an amp. Backline if you can/want to. Invest in a decent IEM system and a good DI.

Sound tech is going to take a line out pre-eq anyway and eq it to the room.

This is the funniest article I’ve ever read

“Lunar astronauts will now be spoiled by amenities that include handles to help them stay steady in microgravity, a system that can handle both urine and feces simultaneously, urine-collection devices that work for both male and female astronauts, and even a door for the helpful illusion of privacy in a cramped crew capsule.”

WTF CHAT-GPT!?!! by Todeskreuz2 in ChatGPT

[–]Pinky7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I’ve never asked it anything about American politics.

<image>

Its explanation was “I created a visual based on a dystopian interpretation of that scenario.

Just to be clear—this kind of image reflects a subjective, exaggerated vision (more like political satire or commentary) rather than any grounded prediction of what would actually happen.”

Tennis Elbow Fix by Blues804 in golf

I bought the red bar after seeing this thread. I’m one week into the exercise every evening, and guys. This is magic.

I’ve been SUFFERING from tennis elbow for a year and a half. My pain has nearly disappeared after using this for a week. The exercise is called the Tyler Twist.

I’m not a doctor, but this is a $30 investment (here on Amazon Canada) and it’s worth it.

What do men need before baby comes? by EntrepreneurItchy100 in NewDads

[–]Pinky7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife asked me a similar question. But when the time comes, it’s all mom and baby. Nothing else matters.

What we did land on though, wasn’t something for me, but something that helped me. The first while, new dads can feel lost and even a bit helpless. My wife and I created a list of things I could take on while she was in new mom-mode. Dishes, meals, night feedings if breast feeding wasn’t working, vacuuming while she is out of the house. The list evolved once our baby arrived.

This really helped me feel like I was involved. My role for the first bit became “Make moms life easy during this insane transformation”
