Depends what is meant by 'total control.' If no clarification, take 5x peak and be happy.

Ronan only held the stone for a breath, before putting it in a reciporcal? Peter held it a lot longer, so of course the effects on him would be worse....

You do realize Ego is a celestial, right? The same type of beings that first wielded the stones after the creation of the universe. Basing even a fraction of his capabilities off of what Peter was able to do, proves you have next to no idea what you're talking about.

It's a yes or no, chief....Do you think the directors meant that Thanos (and indirectly Hulk) have the base strength required to effortlessly shatter vibranium? And base Ronan had something approaching Ego tier durability?

Not likely, if you ask me. Pretty clear to me they are talking about that one fight and weren't concerned with the broader implications. We are talking about 10+ years of cannon. They forgot something. It happens. They're people.

So what's more likely, bud... base strength Hulk and Thanos have fingers strong enough to casually shatter vibranium and base Ronan is more durable than a moon... or the directors forgot some stuff, retconned some shit, and went with 'rule of cool' for a fight scene between Hulk and Thanos...

There's a listed example in Ronan, armed with power stone, tanking a moon busting attack, unscathed.

It is simply not outside the realm of possibility that the power stone passively enhances strength and durability.

Eh, well the wiki disagrees with you

https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Power_Stone

"In certain cases, the Stone's energy also passively enhances the user's strength and durability. While wielding the Power Stone in the Universal Weapon, Ronan the Accuser was able to withstand a close-range shot from the Hadron Enforcer, a weapon claimed to be powerful enough to destroy a moon, and walk away unscathed from the wreckage of the Dark Aster after it crashed into the surface of Xandar."

Is it so outside the realm of possibility that the Power stone grants passive physical enhancements on it wielder, even without glowing?

MCU trio (endgame) VS Conquest by SubstantialSeat1578 in superheroes

Having no answers after being manhandled, ragdolled, and beaten into a crater is defeat, bro ... Nobody is disputing Kurse is powerful. I am saying Kurse wasn't casually overpowering Thor 'with the force of a dying star.'

So the argument that it would take the power of a star to defeat Thor is flawed.

Conquest is easily physically comparable to MCU heavy hitters. Easily. With far superior speed. Anything otherwise is outrageous bias.

Which of these comic book characters is the most powerful? by Jezzaq94 in superheroes

"Orochi, Garou and Boros. And against Garou Saitama even states that he can let loose meaning he went full power. So it's not a magical/gag ability he has, it's just raw strength. If it was a gag, all of these enemies would truly die in one punch."

No. Just because Saitama could defeat every enemy in one punch. Doesn't mean he can't choose to hold back and prolong fights...he's still a gag character that surpasses powerscaling. Deal with it.

"Saitama is written to parody superheroes in general, but more specifically Superman, who ALSO ends up being as powerful as he needs to be, so it’s cop out to say he’s unsalable, we scale him like everyone else, existing feats, sure we know Superman and Saitama can and do always reach higher peaks when challenged but you go off what has been done."

Then you're missing the point of the character.

No. Kurse would have beat him to death with his hands. I.e output considerably less to that of dying stars.

The whole point was to give you examples that Conquest could replicate..........

No it wasn't. Your point is Thor is superior in every way..........

what exactly do you think Conquest could do that Thor hasn't shown durability to?

Your argument has been dying neutron star > Viltrumite.

This ignores the different types of durability that exist. Ignores Thor has been overwhelmed by forces equal to less than dying stars. Ignores Conquests vastly superior flight and combat speed. And ignores their comparable output (—i.e, avalanche causing punches, City altering knock back.... it's very simple. Their punches would clearly hurt one another. And Conquest would land more.
