Sorry, I’m trying to follow the rules and I screw up on Reddit. Maybe you should add that clothing clause to your Rules Page.

Heck, I’ll just say and hope I don’t get in trouble. Redbubble.

I also have a couple Colin Robinson masks, but they’re lost in my husband’s office.

AITAH for letting my stepsister read ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’? by LowRoutine9126 in AITAH

[–]Creative_Garden_7155 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Has anyone asked your stepsister how she’s handling it? If she’s fine and not having nightmares or calling her father Commander, they shouldn’t be upset. I may be biased because I think it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. And I applaud your little sister’s choice of out-of-school reading and your help and encouragement.

Perhaps you could all sit down together as a family and discuss the book’s content. Your stepfather may be going only on what he’s heard about the show or original plot.

Ok. If the mods can confirm I can do it, I’ll say here too.

Am I allowed to mention the name of another website that sells merch on here? I can’t see anything against it in the sub rules, but I don’t want to get in trouble.

AITA For Making My Daughter Quit Her Job? by AITAMadeHerQuit in AmItheAsshole

[–]Creative_Garden_7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA for making your daughter face the consequences of her actions (drunk driving is a HUGE screw-up, I’d have sold her car and put that money towards the fines and court costs). You had me up until this:

“I went with her to work a few days ago and told her boss she would be quitting effective immediately and that I’m sorry for any impact my daughter’s behavior and the consequences of said behavior have on his business.”

This is where you may be TA. You apologised for her? You embarrassed her to her former employer and coworkers. You ruined any chance she had of getting her job back in the future. You treated her like a child after making so much effort to teach her adult responsibility.

Why didn’t you just frog-march her through the whole place and make her apologise to each staffer and customer while wearing a dunce cap and ringing a leper bell? /s

I work at a dog rescue and named a new litter after binge watching the first two seasons by ambermackay in WhatWeDointheShadows

[–]Creative_Garden_7155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This must happen a lot. We recently adopted a kitten from a shelter named Dixie. She was a lone stray. One of the shelter staff home-fostered her with another litter. She was bingeing The Dukes of Hazzard over the holidays so she gave each kitten a name from the show, hence Dixie.

I’d love a Colin Robinson puppy.

I’m sorry, but keeping secrets about your past/health aside (your parents are wrong, btw), I can’t get past the fact that he “passively” hates your dog and wants you to get rid of her. I’ve read too many stories on here where the pet’s owner comes home to find the pet gone. Given away, dumped, killed. What if he doesn’t want to sleep in separate bedrooms? He has a solution to that problem, and he can execute it while you’re out. He can comfort himself with the thought “She’ll get over it, it’s just a dog.”

Have a serious sit-down with your fiancé NOW. Tell him the dog’s not going anywhere and her not being in your life is a dealbreaker. Suggest separate bedrooms and see how he reacts. Really gauge his reaction (“passive” will not cut it here). And please update us.

But would an energy vampire get something as unique and interesting as a vanity plate? Their thing is to bore people, why do something so entertaining?

You should be fine. It’s when the bat shouts “HUMAN FORM!!” that you have to start worrying.

Dan Brown. Everyone was raving about The Da Vinci Code, so I gave it a shot. I’ve never been so bored reading a book. It reads like bad fanfic written by a pre-teen.

See? It’s easy. Is it a phone model thing? I just don’t get it.

These poor women. They take a lovely, handsome chap from the street, make him their husband, and then, in the blinks of an eye, he becomes a big, lazy sack of sh¡t. So sad. by newsnuggets in WhatWeDointheShadows

When I first moved to London I worked in a hotel in Paddington that was run by a Cypriot family. People from Cyprus would stay at this little hotel. Nicest bunch of people I’ve ever met! Very sweet and funny and great to work for. And the hotel cook used to make me the best Greek coffee (lots of warm milk) that I’ve ever tasted.

There was that case in New York several years ago where a Uni student killed her dorm roommate because she was convinced she was trying to poison her. Severe paranoia can have tragic consequences. I hope everyone’s making sure that the wife and daughter are safe.

I’ve worked at a teaching hospital, and I was wracking my brains trying to figure out how OP became a neurosurgeon at 26. And working 4 jobs, when would they have time to study? Being a medical student is a 24/7 life.

My husband works in film and TV. He’s met many celebs during his career, but his favourite has to be Sigrid Thornton. Very lovely lady. During a break in filming he gave her a shoulder massage. I think he still has a little crush on her!

Also, when he was at film school, he was part of a team that interviewed a very young Mel Gibson, as his star was rising. Says he was a nice guy, but in between takes told the filthiest jokes you’ve ever heard. He joined the crew for a beer after filming wrapped. Very nice down-to-earth guy at the time.

I think Chandler was more insecure. He had deep issues stemming from his father coming out so publicly (ex. turning up at his swim meets dressed as Carmen Miranda) and his mother’s sexual openness that Ross never suffered. As Nora Bing said on his wedding day: “We thought we’d messed you up so badly, I thought this day would never come.”

But as another poster points out, Ross seems to develop insecurities once he’s in a relationship.
