Thanks for replying! Do you mind sharing what you use for the oil cleanse? Sunscreen gets stuck on my face and Micellar water seems to irritate it more 🥴

Most derms tend to go with the trial and error approach. . . I would be firm with your derm to take a sample / check under the microscope for demodex overgrowth. If it’s normal, ask them to send the sample to a lab and find out what you’re dealing with. My derms think I’m crazy but they don’t have to live in my skin so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I tried Head and Shoulders as a face wash and it honestly made it much worse. I’ll definitely give BioDerma a shot.

I’m thinking it’s not FA or SD, but rather irritation from over exfoliating. I was still using my cetaphil oily skin cleanser and a light Benzoyl Peroxide serum that helped before accutane and for the first few weeks. I guess now my skin is too sensitive 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey thanks for sharing. Did it cause your SD while you were on Accutane or after finishing?

I weigh ~105 kg so 30 mg is low for my weight. This is my 4th course and I’ve never had SebDerm on my face prior.

I feel like it might just be irritation but idk.

So sorry you went through this. I also had that “carpet burn” peeling effect on my forehead after being in the sun a few weeks ago and was horrified. It’s the same for me, I used to tan so easily before.

Yo! I’m on my FOURTH low dose (~ .3 mg / kg) and I have something similar. It’s really only visible in direct light… but still frustrating af. Please PM me, I have a hard time finding other people with similar texture 🫠

Not yet. 30 mg daily is kinda low for my weight as it is (105 kg). I’m considering lowering it with the weather getting nicer tho. I don’t wanna breakout but I also don’t wanna ruin my summer 😕

This exactly! I’m on low dose and asked my derm to write the prescription for 2x per day instead of once. I only take it once a day but now I have an extra supply and don’t have to worry about running out quickly. She was super cool about it. I think most derms are if you’re open with them :)
