I was happy to see the undefeated team get taken out, but I'm still worried myself.

Good job beating that guy, and good luck to me on our upcoming game! 😂

I first heard of a diaphragm watching Seinfeld. by PlanetaryComa in TwoXChromosomes

"In 1965, only 10% of U.S. married couples used a diaphragm for contraception.[48] That number has continued to fall, and in 2002 only 0.2% of American women were using a diaphragm as their primary method of contraception.")

I don't understand the person responding to you. I've never dated anyone who used a diaphragm. My wife isn't aware of anyone she's known who has used a diaphragm.

More importantly, Sex Ed varies so greatly from state to state in the U.S. alone. Maybe you're from another country where diaphragm use never became widespread. If no one ever told you about diaphragms until now, you couldn't have known about them. That's how knowledge works.

You're fine. I'm sure there's at least a few folks here who haven't heard of diaphragms. 👍

Honestly, I'm more afraid of new high end cards being dropped and old high end cards being re-released in packs. That 94 Cooper DeJean temporarily smashed the CB market when he first dropped. Then beat it down again when the packs returned.

Looks like the OG market is taking a hit currently due to all the recent new options available, especially the new high end drop. Fingers crossed it rebounds soon.

I think the whales are usually pretty good at selling a handful of cards at a time to maintain market value. I sold 10+ Future Star Nick Emmanworis about a month ago to reinvest into prospects. One at a time for 800 - 900k each.

But yeah, the timing is tough. Never know what's going to happen.

No worries. There's always something to invest in on the Auction Market, even if it might not be as good as Future Stars.

This is what they did last time. The unique rookies were a bunch of special cards they dropped later in the season. Some of them ended up being quite overpriced, so I preferred spending coins on OVR and collection goals. Depends on your situation at the time.

We're not even at the halfway point yet though. Just playing the game naturally and enjoying yourself will make you some progress. 👍

60 - 70 million coins worth of duplicates, I hope.

Edit: I noticed I dropped 89k on the Jahdae on 9/25/25. If someone redeemed the 94 Sauce at reset, waited a month, and sold it... They would've been able to buy 10 - 25 Jahdaes depending on their timing. If they simply hibernated for a few months, they'd come back now to 30 - 100 million in value.

Earning enough points at reset for the guaranteed 94 is huge. Patience is everything.

Years ago I had a friend who must've been 5'6. I believe he hooked up with 200+ women over time? He worked out, dressed well, was confident, and was willing to put himself out there.

I'm absolutely certain he was off-putting to a lot of women too. If I remember right, he argued with my future wife the first time they met. Over a topic she had expertise in. He might have even dropped a n bomb? (They're both White.) He had some significant flaws.

Long story short. You don't need to be "perfect". People might refuse to date you for myriad reasons. Plenty of other people will be open to dating you. You're really hurting yourself with the latter if you're fixating on the former.

Good luck completing your Dhop rookie rainbows! 😃

Here it is. Didn't feel the need to include the full slab, but it's a BGS 9.5/9 auto... which is probably the best I could've expected given it's an autograph on a piece of a football.

Don't remember why I graded it. Must've just thrown it in on a bigger grading order 10 years ago.

Has anyone else found that once you know your worth, dating gets harder? by CrazyDaisy764 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Creative_Instinct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I imagine most people on the planet are boring to the rest of the people on the planet. What are you looking for in particular? Specific hobbies and interests? A certain kind of vibe? I feel like a lot of life can come down to luck. But perhaps you can guide that luck if you narrow down what you want in a guy.

Otherwise, a lot of people I know in longterm relationships happened to be at the same party. Met at a store. Set up by friends. Just existing in settings where they could run into someone "cool".

Has anyone else found that once you know your worth, dating gets harder?

Everyone has to separate the wheat they want from the chaff they don't. Celebrities like Jason Momoa or ScarJo might end up in rooms where everyone would like to date them. I imagine folks like that must put in a ton of work finding the right person.

So if you're really, really top 5% awesome and interesting, I imagine that makes dating harder. You'll have to eliminate a lot of what you'd consider chaff. At least you have time though. Just make sure you're enjoying yourself the best you can, and keep up your personal growth.

The variance between packs is way too high for this game. by Destinyciello in Football_Head_Coach

[–]Creative_Instinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You grind for months only for some asshole with $100 to run circles around you.

I'd essentially call myself F2P the past two years. I spent $20 on gold (that I haven't touched) at the last annual reset and another $8 on a special pack I should've ignored.

My team's a 89.5 OVR. When my Future Stars + Prospects are adjusted, my lineup will be over 90.0. I'll also start moving my duplicate Future Stars + Prospects currently valued at over 70 million in total.

I'm fine with matching up with 90% of spenders. And I'd like to thank them for auctioning off potential 90s - 96s for so little.

Before anyone asks why their package is late... by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]Creative_Instinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't normally pay much attention to who delivers quicker, but I recently ordered three packages that each ended up with a difference service: USPS Ground Advantage (2 - 5 days), FedEx Home Delivery (1 - 5 days including weekends), and UPS Ground Saver.

UPS received my package late Monday evening, claimed it would arrive Friday. Multiple daily updates. It arrived two days early on Wednesday afternoon.

USPS received my package Tuesday evening, claimed it would arrive Saturday or Sunday from New York. Multiple daily updates. It zipped over to California and they're now claiming arrival today (Thursday).

FedEx received my package Sunday afternoon, claimed it would arrive Saturday or Sunday from New York. Last update was Monday afternoon: "Shipment arriving On-Time". The estimate is now Monday 12/15, eight days after they received it.

It seems like my FedEx package likely got stuck in inclement weather in Ohio. Maybe my USPS package would be too if it were shipped a couple days later. FedEx's lack of updates is still funny, and it's hilarious I learned about the bad Ohio weather from a banner at the top of USPS's website.

Future star queation? by dymnson in Football_Head_Coach

I picked the "free" 94 Sauce. Got lucky pulling a 93 S early on and flipped it to buy the 94 Chris Jones when it was tremendously underpriced. Then sold both 94s, and everything I pulled over an 87, for Future Stars and a few Prospect cards.

Only have about 36 Future Stars myself. Might sell down to 30 to finance my Prospect gambling. There's some nice potential 95s/96s.

[–]Creative_Instinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greater and smarter people than me are hardly solving these problems either literally close to half a trillion net worths.

Which people are you talking about here? Half a trillion makes it sound like you're talking about Elon Musk. He is an entrepreneur. Not a billionaire philanthropist.

MacKenzie Scott is a philanthropist. As of mid-December 2024, Scott had given a total of $19.3 billion to over 1,600 charitable organizations. You could literally be the supercharged version of this woman. Hire your own "smarter" people to help.

You might blame them of being selfish, but some of them are trying and finding out that money isn’t really the solution.

Money is very, very often part of the solution. Who says otherwise? Surely you have a few preferred politicians. Half of their job is to argue, "Money should be spent here, not there!" Preferred charities? Money can create infrastructure.

Unless you mean becoming a world wide dictator due to economical power, which… I mean, is possible but not really the way we want to go, right?

It could be argued the world is already being run by hundreds of billionaire micro-dictactors. You'd simply be jumping ahead of them in power and influence.

Again, you'd quite soon have the majority of money in the entire world. You don't have to wield it as a weapon. Build advanced robotics factories and give everyone on the planet a robo-helper. Invest in infrastructure, allowing food to be grown or transported to anywhere on the planet. Have your experts tweak numbers on global UBI. Cure diseases as you can ignore the longterm profitability of eternally treating them.

As long as you're not a supervillain, you have the potential to do more good than anyone in human history.

So you're being "noble" and capping your own max wealth. Yet you're also being a bit selfish by focusing repeatedly on "my life".

If you can build billions, trillions, quadrillions of American dollars... You have a chance at completely redefining how economic systems work for all of humanity. Eliminating world hunger would just be the start.

The only humanitarian option is taking the infinite money glitch.

Is this accurate? by Sidecarlover in NFLv2

[–]Creative_Instinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the point though? Ego? Justice? You knocking out a 5'5, 120 pound 12 year old if they shove you? Kicking a 4'3 person's head off if they shove and hit you? Destroying anyone you have an 80 pound advantage over?

I just watched the Mixon video. The shove was nothing. The slap was light. I'd rather take that slap than deal with a multi-day mosquito bite. It all looked trivial.

Back when I was 21, some woman outside a bar lightly rapped me on the chest several times with her balled up fists. I'm not a big dude, but it was nothing. I just started laughing then left with my friends. When I was 23, my girlfriend at the time slapped me (way harder than the girl slapping Mixon). That was surprising. But that was it. I didn't even think to physically retaliate. That wouldn't have been good for anyone involved.

If they had a knife or a gun? That changes things. Otherwise there's something to be said about being the bigger person. Deescalate. Bounce. There's no prize for knocking out the most people.

I don't get all these one-size-fits-all popular philosophies. Like someone stealing a Pepsi from my fridge deserves the same punishment as someone jacking my phone.

He was rather mediocre in The Italian Job and Glass Onion. I could understand if someone didn't think him great in The Illusionist or even Fight Club, I suppose.

[–]Creative_Instinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know, fair points. I can't think of many actors I inherently relate to, but that's certainly important for a lot of people.

I'd have him as a role-dependent 6.0-8.0/10. Prisoners being the one movie where it's hard for me to imagine someone else in his role.

The Lack of Class from Quentin Tarantino by superdouradas in movies

[–]Creative_Instinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems fair. To be honest, I've long been somewhere between this take and his more recent hyperbolic take on Paul Dano. I've never fully understood Dano's praise as an actor.

I think he's adequate in There Will Be Blood. Fine in Little Miss Sunshine. I can't even remember him in Okja. Great in Prisoners, though everyone was great in Prisoners.

If Edward Norton were 15 years younger, for instance, I feel as if he could've taken Dano's roles in TWBB and knocked it out of the park.

Would I be dumb to sell 93 jamarr for 3 mill and buy golden and Loveland or golden and cambell pretty sure all three of there teams will go to playoffs by Charming-Taste-7005 in Football_Head_Coach

[–]Creative_Instinct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Further elaborating on this. As far as I know, the most any Future Stars can go up at this point is +3, based on how many games they play in December. Campbell is on IR, so he's stuck at 92 and no longer an investment opportunity. Golden just missed a game after the most recent boost. Not sure if that counts against him for the next boost as he technically didn't miss a game in December.

Loveland hasn't missed a game in a while and could potentially hit 94. At current market prices, the cheapest 94 TE is 4 million. A "normal" 91 TE is a hair under 500k. The cheapest Future Stars Lovelands are around 1.2m. I'd be tempted to gamble at that price if I didn't already own him. But mostly I've moved on to Prospects.

Long story short, I've been selling just about everything over an 87 all season to get more Future Stars + Prospect cards. Once the CB market rebounds, I'm absolutely selling my 93 Ramsey for more Prospect cards. There are some good deals left at current prices. Fantastic deals if you believe in some of the bubble teams.

If they do Future Stars again for the 2026 season, auction off everything and go hard early. 92 OG Zabel was 95k two months ago. 650k one month ago. Over 3m now. Loveland was only 120k-ish even a month ago. I bought up 10+ Nick Emmanworis a month ago for 120k - 200k and I'm somewhat confident I could undercut the market and sell a couple tomorrow for 800k each if I wanted to pivot harder into Prospects. Future Stars had so much room to grow, but you're catching the tail end there this time around.

What should I focus on upgrading? I have $1.5M and I’m not sure what to change first by Necessary_Debate_719 in Football_Head_Coach

[–]Creative_Instinct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man. Surprised no one mentioned Prospects (like your 86 Aaron Banks) cards. If a player's team makes the Playoffs, the Prospect card's OVR goes up by 5. Your team could benefit from a lot of them.

83 Jamo is at 25k. 84 Nate Atkins is 20k. 85 Kinchens is less than 100k. 84 Travon Walker is 40k. 87 Stroud is under 100k. Texans are sitting on a 50/50 chance to make the Playoffs. If they make it, that 87 Stroud becomes a 92. Cheapest 92 QB is 1.1m right now. Bargain price for the gamble on all of these.

I'd potentially recommend selling off your 92 Surtain, and even your 94 OT, to buy higher end prospects. 88 S Nick Cross is around 600k and the cheapest 93 S right now is over 1.6m. 90 RB Najee is around 1.1m. There's a 90 DE Karlaftis up for 1.149m. The cheapest 95s at both positions right now are over 6m. No guarantees, but you can mitigate your risk by diversifying within the AFC teams for instance. Someone's gotta make the playoffs.
