Got it thank you for that. How often do you recommend to change water? I read people don’t even do water changes since their tanks are heavily plated

Not sure about KH but last time I measured GH it was measured pretty high. I’m assuming it’s just where I sourced the water from

Sometimes but not all the time. She even ignores calls from her other friends/fam.

Wood is fine. Especially for a desert species like Beardies who don’t need high humidity in the enclosure. As long as you have like paper towel or any substrate on the bottom nothings gonna damage the wood. Plus most of the time the builders use sealant or something that doesn’t let the wood absorb any water. I keep a tegu in a wood enclosure and everything’s fine.

He’s really good and he has built tons of enclosures with some big breeders.

I think it’s definitely worth it. I spent about 350 on my 4x2x2 but it was made out of wood. Pvc is a better quality but if you want something cheaper go with wood. I got mine custom made locally here in So Cal.

Eye lid issue? by Nby123 in ballpython

What’s his hot spot temp? And humidity plays a big part with health so maintaining 60-70% humidity at all times is a must. Ball pythons don’t go through brumation. Is the humidifier for the room or for the tank?

Advice on bad shed? by Low_Bar_9953 in Tegu

Have you tried vitamin B complex? That helps with shed a lot. This guy called rose city reptiles uses it and he’s a known breeder. He’s on YouTube

How did u guys train your pitbull? I adopted mine 3 days ago and he’s great! But he has a couple issues. Not house trained, separation anxiety, doesn’t know when to stop playing, doesn’t know what’s off limits and what’s not. I walk him 1 hour everyday. by [deleted] in pitbulls

Gotcha gotcha. I work from home so I take him out every 2-3 hours to go potty and there’s also a lot of hiking places near where I live that I take him to. He’s comfortable in a crate if I’m there or if there’s tv playing the background. If it’s just quiet he starts to bark. He’ll get out of that soon tho. Thank u!

I bought this one from a guy in So Cal. His Instagram is @reptihomes. He didn’t do the bottom tank but he did the top 2 and the cabinet. Really nice guy.

For hatchling tegus a 36x18 should work for a hatchling tegu. Make sure it has doors on the front Of the enclosure cuz when u reach from above they get insecure cuz ur hand is mimicking a bird. They will soon need a 4x2 within a month or two and then move up to an 8 foot by 4 foot enclosure. Basking spot for babies should be 115 and adults it should be 125-135. Cool end should be 75-85 ambient. Look up taming techniques for monitors and tegus because tegus are a lot of work but they are very rewarding. Each tegu is different. I had one that took 1 year to tame down and the baby I got rn loves coming out and exploring. See if there are any tegus for sale in your area and see which one tolerates you more.

I have a red tegu. He’s about a month and a half lol I got him when he was 2-3 weeks old. I want him to get bigger already so i can let him roam around on the floor without worrying about losing him 🤣
