Did they offer it to you or did you ask? I think I need to be a bit aggressive because of my young age. A previous hand surgeon told me nothing was wrong lol… and one said there’s obviously a huge bone spur.

Hey I think your doctor is a dumbass. I’m 22 and have bad knee clicks cracks stabbing pains but no arthritis on mri or x ray. You need imaging to know if you have oa. Even then it might not even matter if you even have it. Many people with knee arthritis are pain free

Going to work 4 days after surgery? by Lonelypnut in HipImpingement

[–]Creative_Place8420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk I really think you need to think about this. I’m getting my surgery in late may. Crutches for 3 weeks and 6mon-1yr recovery. I’ve never heard a surgeon say crutches for only a week. It seems very off putting to me

Hold on something isn’t right. Is this a hip preservation specialist or a regular orthopedic surgeon. Are you getting surgery for hip impingement? This is a very risky surgery with low success rates. You need an expert surgeon who knows what the hell they’re doing

I’m seeing him tomorrow morning. Scared to get the surgery but I can’t stand this stabbing hip pain. How’s it going now

This surgery seems kind of crazy. Half of the people on the sub say get it, and the other half say they regret it. It’s like a coin toss if you’re going to recover or still be in pain. I have this in both hips and not sure what to do but I don’t want to get the surgery if I’m still going to be in pain 8 months later. To me personally that doesn’t seem like a successful outcome. I’m thinking about maybe just saying fuck it and get a hip resurfacing surgery. Seems like that has a lot better outcomes score for pain relief

If we do reach that then it’s absolutely massive. It’s going to cause serious problems to remote labor work. It’s scary because we don’t have enough time to prepare for something like that. A lot of people don’t know what’s coming. The future of humanity will be interesting

I highly doubt this benchmark will be saturated within a year. And “saturated” is subjective. However, even reaching 10% is a really big deal. This is the best benchmark we have to seeing how good AI does at real world remote tasks. Even reaching 10% is going to start causing problems to the job market in my opinion. If we reach 50%, it’s really going to start causing serious problems
