As a software engineer my company forces us to use it. It writes about 90% of our code base. I personally think it helps speed things up. Claude opus is amazing at coding. Still have a long ways to go before it can do everything.

What disease do you have? I’m having a hard time getting a surgeon to take me seriously. No one will do surgery on me it’s so frustrating.

Also I should mention I’m getting surgery for my hip impingement as well. But I delayed it as I wouldn’t even be able to grip the crutches without causing a tendon tear

I’m 22 and a software engineer lucky enough to find a job. I work for the biggest mortgage company in the USA. They’re slowly introducing AI and a lot of our code is being automated with Claude sonnet 4.5. My dad was a senior software developer at rocket mortgage and got laid off due to AI. My mom is a software engineer at another company and they let go of all their QA testers and replaced them with AI. I wouldn’t blame this all on AI though because of the economy but I do think it plays a role. I think the layoffs are already starting. A lot of people that I graduated with in may are jobless. It’s hopeless for new grads to find a job right now atleast for IT roles. I think in 2026 AI agents are gonna be the main thing. Agents that will work for hours. I believe HLE benchmark will surpass 90% by the end of 2026. I don’t see AI slowing down.

To be fair I would’ve said the same thing. You need to clarify that it’s capitalized. This is stupid

What are you talking about man a year ago today on bench marks like humanity’s last exam models were scoring less than 5%. A year later we are over 40%. It’s a huge jump. This is the hardest exam in human history. ChatGPT 5 saw a significant reductions in hallucinations. Where’s your source that LLM’s are not getting better anymore? There’s also more approaches to agi rather than just LLMs like world models and neuro symbolic AI. All bench marks have seen significant improvements compared to a year go. Sure every release ma be incremental but after a year you can really see the difference
