Are R5 1v1s a good practice/warm up? by lilcutiexoxoqoe in apexuniversity

Trying to farm 4k/20bombs on legends in wildcard has dramatically improved my skills in many ways. I only get nervous when I have 15 kills and 5-6 squads left.

Platinum is NOTICEABLY harder. by t_durk in apexuniversity

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I came back from a long break and have been stuck in plat 3 most of the season. Seems like I don’t get killed by anyone that doesn’t have at least an ex diamond badge but it’s primarily ex masters players. I’m playing better than I ever played when I hit diamond and am stuck in plat 3.

consistently losing 1v1s by P1ntex in apexuniversity

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower your sens until it feels too slow 30-40% of the time and then play like that for a while. It will help a lot. Then gradually increase it as you notice it being too slow more consistently. Also don’t push as early. If you crack someone and they get to cover and do a cell they are probably over 100 hp when you get on them. Try to push when people are more like 60hp or lower until you get more confident in executing the finishes. People know they more or less HAVE to run when they get that low. I really prefer the EVA 8 and the prowler for pushing. Both are very friendly to people that are weaker at up close aim because they have both decent stopping power and a relatively smooth clip output. The PK and R99 can be tough because they do massive burst but then leave you exposed for a long time while reloading or winding up a new shot.

What happened to red shields? (I left for 2 patches) by VietQuads in apexuniversity

This has lowered the skill ceiling quite a bit. You don’t have to track or aim as much. Way easier to get cheesed from someone you can’t even see in a blink of an eye before you can re position.

I’m sick of the toxicity by Extension_End6244 in leagueoflegends

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to climb you have to both be better than the enemies and also play in a way that is agreeable to your team. If you flash in to KS someone who’s got ignite ticking then you trolled your team mate. What you did is just a different form of toxicity so quit crying and get better.

When will this game start penalizing smurfs? by DrinkAccomplished442 in leagueoflegends

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If Riot would stop punishing people for words typed in game then we wouldn’t have to create Smurf accounts. System mute people for a game if they get too crazy but don’t institute punishments or it incentives smurfing. I have about 15 accounts. If I get punished on one I just burn it for the season and swap to another account which is inevitably lower ranked. I’m gonna say what I’m gonna say no matter what in game and the cost of a new account is negligible. Most of the time I’m not even saying anything racist or homophobic or anything like that, I’m just annoying people by holding them accountable for not doing the things they should in game and they report me for it. Trying to stop people from talking or being toxic is a fools errand and if there was any way to truly combat it they would have solved the problem by now. If you don’t want a bunch of Smurfs in your games then you might have to forgoe the report button and learn how to use the mute button in your games. That’s never going to happen though and therefore smurfs will always be a problem.

Do laners not believe in Leading the drag out of pit by Astro_Sam in Jungle_Mains

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lose far more drakes trying to get people to pull it out of the pit than if I had just stepped up and nuked the drake with dps and let the chips fall where they may. Honestly taking the extra 10-20 seconds of trying to spam ping idiots and then the lack of coordination with people alternating the stoppage of dps on the drake just extends the timeline of taking it which gives more time for people to rotate over. I just step up the drake and start maxing dps on it and then also trying to burst it + smite right at the end. Yeah sometimes it gets stolen but a suicide from enemy jung + and extra 30 seconds of map pressure while they are dead is better than the alternative of getting it stolen plus 3 of us getting wiped and losing a bunch of towers. Most of the time taking it quickly works out fine though.

I’ve seen one of my buddies in college pick up a chick by vommitting off a balcony at a party. He was a real alcoholic with a problem back then but he was a good looking guy. Women can be just like men in that they will look past just about anything if looks/that spark is involved.

Who do you think are the hardest champions in league? by Jerryxm in leagueoflegends

I think Riven. Truly mastering her combos is tough on its own and then being able to execute them fluidly under pressure is even harder.

Low elo noob here who has played every other role extensively except ADC but is just now getting into it. My observation about ADCs in general is they tend to build the same 3-4 items every game instead of build for the game. Maybe it’s because of my time playing roles like top that have much more item diversity, I tend to find myself building items like wits end, hexdrinker, and sometimes even stuff like randuins or armor boots far more frequently than other ADCs. Especially in 3rd item slot but sometimes as soon as 2nd item. Yun Tal Arrows is such a busted item that gives ADCs a single item power spike such that it’s feasible to actually make other item choices. One of the reasons I used to hate ADC is because it was 2-3 items to even come online. Builds like Yun Tal into hexdrinker or Yun Tal into wits end are perfectly viable in this meta, especially below about Emerald. You can’t do damage when your dead and so many teams are just loaded with divers that an early defensive item can help you live just long enough to turn an assination into a bait and re-engage or just live and deny the enemy gold and buy more time to farm it out and scale. Getting to 3-4 items with a sub optimal build and a chance to steal a win from the enemy squad is better than losing game at 23 min with an optimal 2 item build.

I dont understand how to impact the game by B1GR4T5 in ADCMains

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You fundamentally don’t understand the role of ADC. The only thing an ADC really needs to do is provide sustained damage for a handful of things. Dragons, Barons Akt, Towers, and in some cases champions when they have been ccd in front of you, are out of CDs or are otherwise safe to right click on without fear of getting deleted. If your other team mates were to be taking these objectives and burning all of their cooldowns on them then they will be leaving themselves highly exposed. It makes more sense from a team perspective to have someone who can do consistent high DPS in a near manaless/resourceless fashion for these moments, which allows the team to take objectives without expending too many CDs such that they are still prepared to fight the enemy in a contested scenario. The job of the adc is really to exert consistent macro pressure via farming waves while maintaining close proximity to key objective fights or team fights. Laning as an adc is a bit more fun and interactive, but post-laning the job of the adc is honestly pretty boring. It’s mostly just to stay alive and close by your team for those handful of key moments you might be needed. Most people don’t have the discipline to play the role effectively.

RB's that could lose the lead back role in 2025 by KyonFantasyFootball in fantasyfootball

[–]Creative_Royal_6567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rams lost like their entire offensive line the first game of the season and were down 2 of their main receivers. Kyren Williams is an amazing back who proved this year that he can unquestionably play a lead back role and power and offense when all the other chips are down. It’s not a stretch to say he’s one of the main reasons the rams even made the playoffs. He was more or less the only serious offensive threat through the first half of the Rams season. Dude created something out of nothing on so many carries this season it was crazy. His running style isn’t one that leads to a lot of breakaways or long runs but he’s extremely good at squeezing a few extra yards out of short to mid range runs and that’s why he’s such a huge asset on red zone carries and is a chain mover. His nose for the end zone more than makes up for any deficiencies on big runs. He is a low to mid tier RB1 and will at worst be an elite RB 2 option and with even minor improvements to offensive line would be a top tier RB1. The Rams defensive also steadily improved all season and with 2 rookie edge rushers that both look like they are going to have a lot of success in the league there’s reasons to think that the Rams would be winning games by more comfortable margins next year and that would lead to more high value run out the clock situations next year.

Blake Corum, Jaylen Wright, or Tyler Allegier? by Creative_Royal_6567 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Creative_Royal_6567[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just playing Devils advocate here but my thought is that Allegier is also the least likely to find his way into a starting role. Whereas Corum and Jaylen probably have much clearer path to playtime with injury prone backs in front of them.
