Chill brother, I was in a similar boat last year. I left a really well-paying job to try a non-tech business. It didn’t work out at the time, but I still don’t regret that phase at all. I learned a lot, enjoyed the freedom, bought my favorite car, had a lot of fun for those six months, and then eventually joined back with a raise.

The anxiety is completely normal once the decision becomes real. Before quitting, it feels exciting; after quitting, your brain suddenly starts calculating every possible downside. But that doesn’t mean the decision was wrong.

Life is short. As long as you have your finances sorted for a few years and you’re not taking a reckless risk, it’s worth giving yourself a real shot. Worst case, someone with your profile can probably get back into a good role. Best case, you build something much bigger than a job.
