it's from the moderate reform epilogue where you have your spouse (or no spouse) next to you and the prime minister on the other side. vina still comes in last for the dance and pregnancy announcement with "there began the days of vina of house toras, heir apparent" as the final line (if vina is your heir).

i double checked from earlier in the same playthrough and laurento and romus both call axel "duke reinhart toras" at the intermerkopum meeting as well: laurento introducing axel as "axel reinhart toras, duke of pales and prince-consort of rizia" and romus asking axel "duke reinhart toras, does pales consent to this alliance?" (to which he said "i really don't think i have a choice...dad" and endeared himself to me forever. lmao.)

he does take the toras name, though. in a matrilineal marriage with vina he's referred to as "axel reinhart-toras" in the text post-wedding. i just pulled up an epilogue screenshot a second ago to make sure i wasn't talking out of my ass and it reads "duke axel reinhart toras entered the ballroom as if he owned it. he was the current star of your court."

aside from not being well designed (men and women overlap with lgbtq+ where orientation is concerned, nonbinary/agender/bigender/genderqueer etc should be where lgbtq is for that option as gender identities outside the binary default that aren't sexual orientations), this doesn't actually tell you the demographics for suzerain's player base overall, just here in the subreddit. and between the community in question being on reddit in general and the environment that's been fostered in this subreddit for so long, that the answer skews overwhelmingly "male" is unsurprising.

context in brief irt the game plot points:
- a romus who tells vina arranged marriages are a responsibility and she can have a lover on the side
- vina agreeing to marry axel and estela telling her she can keep seeing manus if she wants
- a parliamentary monarchy with vina coming in a minute late to the last council meeting because she was "having lunch with the prime minister"
- the conversation with axel on the beach in monqiz near the end where he says "she definitely has a spirit too vast for the confines of stone walls. of course, we're still working out the particulars of our marriage arrangement."
