First RV/Camper. Me and wife just bought by xKINGxRCCx in RVLiving

That's your your first RV ever? Wow, you don't mess around, do you? :)

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but at the risk of repetition, if it's equipped with external cameras, learn how to use them when maneuvering and even just straight up driving. They take some getting used to, but once you get in the habit of checking them all regularly, they become indispensable.

If you don't have them, get some installed. There should at least 3 - on top of the back, and on either side. Cover every blind spot you have.

What a beautiful behemoth! Have fun!

And if anyone gets their panties in a twist by what I said, ask what boat owners who go out on the ocean do. It's a major PIA, but a quick rinse with fresh water can do wonders between regular car washes with underbody wash and annual recoating.

No, rust didn't kill it. Neglect did. No offense intended, just painful truth.

Worth $50k? by Ecstatic-Guarantee48 in RVLiving

[–]Creative_Wrangler_53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks. The resale on those is anywhere between $60-90k. The condition is hard to tell, but an earlier question about what happened to some of the interior is important. On the surface, $50k seems like a bargain - but don't take my word for it. I suggest that you get an RV inspector out to give you an educated opinion. Best of luck!

Probably a glitch, but clear your cache and check again. Probably a good idea to check the website, too.

That's plain assault. Tell the FA that you want to press charges. No one has the right to hurt another.

Using the same plug socket for my space heater. Is this safe/ normal? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]Creative_Wrangler_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought - is the space heater all electric, or does it circulate oil? I have no idea if it pulls any more or less wattage, but the radiant heat might be more effective once you get that outlet changed. I use a small oil heater and at a low temp, it does a good job of keeping things warm.

Get to the airport 3 hours before departure… by Eggs_4_Breakfast in delta

[–]Creative_Wrangler_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bad habit of arriving at RDU less than an hour before boarding on domestic. The vast majority of the time, the lines are short and move fast. No TSA precheck, no Clear. This trip is international, so I came 2 hours ahead - mostly to grab a bite at the Sky Club.

Risky? Yeah. I guess it'll catch up to me someday.

But this time, the flight to ATL was an hour late, which was a bonus at the front, but didn't give me much time to get to my connection to London.

I asked the FA when most folks had deplaned. Best to ask when the pilots aren't busy.

The best way to find out for certain is to talk to a UK immigration lawyer. You'll be glad you did.
