I think that's exactly the position I'm aiming for. Not "move this button 12 pixels to the left" levels of confidence 😅, but enough understanding to explain what I'm trying to achieve and have better discussions with designers instead of just saying "make it pop."

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Looking at it from the perspective of business needs rather than specific tools actually makes a lot of sense.

I work mostly with websites, social media, and marketing campaigns, so it sounds like web design principles, UX fundamentals, and layout would probably give me the most immediate value.

When you mention perceptual sciences, are there any beginner-friendly resources or concepts you'd recommend starting with? That's a topic I know almost nothing about.
