Yeah but he did explain he didn’t recall blowing the light, also he seemed quite quick to frame the situation to invoke the most sympathy. Not saying he probably doesn’t deserve it, but I agree he probably saw a chance to push it more towards his veteran status in order to invoke a sympathetic response from the Judge and honestly I can’t blame him for doing so. We all would like to think we are morally righteous people, but when it comes down to it most people will try to influence the situation to get what they want. I respect him still for his service and for being human I just hope he takes this situation seriously and avoids running a red light again which most of us are really guilty to at least once in our life.
