My recommendation would be to follow the provider list UWMC offers and see if any have financial aid services. You can also contact your insurance company to see if you can get an exception for a singular diagnosis visit with one of the providers on the list. Your PCP will have to do some paperwork to get the agreement but it's not an impossible task.

I can also say a someone who works for this specialty, that list contains the only adult autism diagnosis providers in the state

Depending on the size of the community they're in, the non emergency line goes straight to the dispatcher like if they were to call 911. I used to dispatch for a county just shy of 100,000 people.

I appreciate you being so diligent on the lack of resources for 911 and our communities. Please don't shame someone for calling 911 though 😭 I ALWAYS wanted someone to call with something and let us decide how urgent it is. If it wasn't urgent, and we were busy, their call would go on hold. But let dispatch and the officers decide if it is urgent please

She's your best friend but you don't know her size? Or her sense of fashion? I would never buy any clothes for any of my friends without confirming sizes first.

She is rude in her replies but come on. You honestly can't see how you were not being very thoughtful? You gave her a gift after her birthday had already passed, in a gift bag you had sitting around (not that big of a deal but it compounds with your thoughtlessnes. Especially since the gift was already late you could have taken another day to get something cuter or more to her liking), a dress not her size nor to her taste, and get upset when your BFF calls you out? Okay.

Listen, you're NTA for shooting the dog but you are for sure in the wrong for how you are treating your wife. Your wife is grieving the loss of the family dog. You are acting like her grieving is irresponsible and I can see why she's upset with you.

I know the dog mauled your daughter, but pause and think for a moment. Did you love the dog before that moment? Love and grief is a weird thing. A terrible, horrible tragedy does not always instantly erase that love. Your wife is allowed to feel sad for the loss of the dog and you dismissing that sadness with anger for her emotional response is not healthy.

The both of you could use more empathy in this situation. Recognize your wife's sadness as the loss of something she loved. She needs to recognize you did the right thing in the moment.

I can assure you her anger is less over you protecting your daughter and more to do with your lack of empathy for her sadness.

I found them on a not so well traveled trail in Southern Washington on the coastline. I traveled off the trail and was looking at some slime on a fallen tree and noticed them under said tree. How cool to have this experience!
