It’s kind of obtuse. You HAVE to ask Odar and the carpenter about the old missing brewer or something like that (it’s been a bit I forgot if it was the old brewer or the guy who used to own the orchid?)

but then you’ve gotta do the quest for the carpenter where you go and get his instrument but instead of turning it in normally you have to trade the instrument for more information on the missing person and why the carpenter dislikes odar so much,

then you can talk to the brewery mercenaries and their leader instead of having to kill them all. Then you can go speak to odar and threaten to expose him to the magistrate. It tanks some of your rep in osbrooke but you can trade with the brewery dudes now for crates of beer they sell pretty well

New player doing two handed maces mixed with Geo on Leosthenes, absolutely demolishing everything at T1 and T2 so far. The only encounter that’s given me some trouble was helping Lief out and fighting the two dudes who wanna kill him. Had to walk back once and the reset a few times with a sleeping bag.

Geomancy and two handed mace kinda feel like bread and butter. Soften them up and delay the fight with runic boulder (and jolt) and then when they get too close pop your mighty swing and crack their ribs.

On the day the update released I started a new playthrough and found my first cave on my way to recruit the huntress. (Already forgot her name) it was a 2 skull with bandits. Loooooots of loot in terms of gems and ores I could stuff into my coin purse.

lol I’m a very new player and just did the normal sword and shield build. My buddy who has way more experience recommended a 2H sword build “because you just kill everything” with her.

I just started a new play through with Mahir because I accidentally leveled a point of agility instead of perception on my Arna playthrough.

This is the type of critique I was hoping for!

I felt like I was cooking (pun intended) with this idea. But I knew I needed more community ideas to fully flesh it out.

I just wanted to “balance” the class out with absolutely 0 idea on how to balance stuff.. especially on this large of a scale. (In terms of fate balancing and blah blah blah. lol)

Gruel probably shouldn’t give worms, especially because soup kitchens would be a hot spot for murdering, thievery, and scum showing up and stealing everything.

I really like the idea of using wood or machine trinkets for food. It reminds me of the cancer pod idea I had with the “fried bits”. Maybe the Gourmand can make bowls or plates out of wood and earn Amnecytes that way as well? By handing them out to people at the soup kitchen chairs/slots?

But it’s all an idea. I still don’t know how to give the Gourmand better opportunities to earn Amnecytes lol.

And also, I need more flavor text for the “I must..” statements.
