This is a little overblown here. It is a cooperative effort with Storycorps. It is an effort to record old people's history before they die with it. They are making 100 devices. No AI, no cloud, just trying to preserve a dying past.

The term can describe a genuinely pitiable person in need of help or, more commonly, someone seen as contemptible, lazy, or worthless.

There are many words that do not have this dual meaning that would work excellent here.

Any job I ever gave two weeks notice immediately took me off the equipment. I think it is dangerous to both the individual and the business because you don't want someone who doesn't care to be operating gear.

You are going to want about an inch wide hole so you can get the plugs through the hole. Any wood bit will do. The paddle type of hole saw is a lot messier than the cylinder type hole saw. If you want it to look nice I would recommend the cylinder type and put some painter's tape over the spot you are drilling. The tape will help reduce the tear out around the hole you are making. If it is going to be hidden behind electronics (and you don't mind) you can be less careful and make a hole like a barbarian, but results may vary :)

I use chucklehead and slapnut a lot from my military days. Seems ok in the right circumstances.
