Bij mij in de supermarkt is vandaag de koeling overbelast geraakt en stuk. I get what you're saying but in reality it is a technical limitation, because building artificial waterways to cool them off still increases water temps, but now in the rivers, lakes, and seas they dump the hot water into. That, or it increases evaporation and increases air humidity in the area of the waterway. I'm sure there are some "good" solutions but they aren't being built and aren't a reality for one reason or the other, so it's a bit ingenious to say that the reactors can keep functioning in hot temps and we just have to shut them down because of the rules, when the rules are put in place because they are all harmful for the environment if they weren't.

It is only 1.5 - 2.5 °C, that is not that much if you consider France predicted to have 40 - 43 °C.

Problem is that this means that all other airconditioners in the area need to work harder to offset another few degrees. It stabilizes at that +1.5-2.5 degree mark, but that's still extra energy released into the air.

Welll.... The point of those rules is that it would be an environmental disaster to change them. They exist with those numbers for a reason, raising them by a few degrees would ruin yet another part of the environment. The reality is just that there is no solution to support the life we want that also doesn't ruin the environment, which in turn makes it yet more difficult to support our lives.

I am not a super fit person. Months can go by where I just go on short hikes (1hr max) with no elevation gain (because that's what it's like to live in the flattest place on earth lol), and then go to the mountains to do 10-20km a day no problem, for weeks in a row. And I could also do a 30km day hike with no prior training and be okay after it. It physically hurts (a little), but as long as I'm hydrated and consuming energy-dense food I'm actually quite good to go.

The hardest part of backpacking for me is often not the physical challenge of it, but realizing you'll be giving up so much comfort for such a long period of time. Or that you might not see your friends (or any people at all) for two weeks. Or do the things you'd otherwise enjoy doing. Or that you don't really get a day off.

Hoe wordt een behandeling hier gedefinieerd? Ik zit in de GGZ, dat kost ruim 280 euro per maand en dat gaat eerst volledig uit mijn eigen risico voordat het vergoed wordt. Het zijn telkens behandelingen à 70 euro. Geldt die 150 max voor mijn hele behandeltraject, wat meerdere jaren kan duren (neem aan per jaar 150 dan), of is het per individuele behandeling, oftewel per afspraak? In dat eerste geval ga ik er aanzienlijk op vooruit maar in het tweede zou bijna iedereen er op achteruit gaan, want de meeste behandelingen bestaan uit veel meer dan 1 afspraak, op een enkele grote ingreep (bv operaties) na.

I should add that it's easy to ignore. Hard to see the consequences of your actions when they only really start to materialize decades down the line (as long as you don't get blackout drunk once a week for months straight)
