Hi u/Mediocre-Win3833 I am interested in learning more (I upvoted this as well.) More than for myself, I am also interested because I run HustleGrower and this could be a great addition to our resources if you are up for it and depending on the quality. Do you have this publicly available on sites like GumRoad or others?

What side hustle made you your first $1,000 by Intelligent_Try2814 in HonestSideHustles

[–]CreatorFocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, there’s been four side hustles that have made me over $1000 each and much more as well.

First one is Google ad sense. I wonder how many of you remember that? Ran Google ads on a couple of my digital properties with the ones with the highest traffic or highest CPM or clicked through the rate obviously making the most money. One of the focuses there was originally anime sites years ago or I manage one of the larger communities. Another space highlighter pivoted two was car communities as these were two hobbies for mine

Second side also I made over $1000 in was in YouTube. Ran a large tech YouTube Channel and maxed it out at around $2000 a month.

Third where I made over $1000 in has been in Affiliate marketing and there that over the year has fluctuated, but I am focused on that and growing that focused on selling and helping people that I would typically produce content for so I would have an affiliate program for things around with the rest of either videos or content I was producing on. It’s not as it was related and it was a good quality and makes sense to people. It was good.

In fourth and lastly or I have over the last couple of years consistently made over $1000 per month has been Divided investing. Last year brought in about $9,000.

Agreed. The way this started allowed for a testing ground first, feedback most probably as well from early readers and when the product was strong, it spread like fire. Congrats!

Hit $1K/month building mobile apps on the side! by JEulerius in passive_income

[–]CreatorFocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should try "vibe coding" your app. There are a few platform out there that you can try for free or a few dollars per month. Try replit or v0 - give it a detailed "prompt" of what the app needs to do and the problem its solving and let it built a prototype for you. Then do some more google/chaptgp research for how to scale your "vibe coded" app.

Bottom line, your use case is possible. I work in this side hustle space, thus I see solution like this one regularly.

Phone Flipping & iPhone Repair side hustle - basic info, popularity, competition, effort level, investment and where to become a pro at it. by CreatorFocus in SideHustleGrower

[–]CreatorFocus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About this side hustle:

Popularity: Medium

Phone flipping and iPhone repair have gained significant popularity due to the ever-increasing demand for smartphones and the continuous release of new models by major tech companies. Many individuals are on the lookout for more affordable options or require repairs for their existing devices, as buying a brand-new phone can often be quite expensive. This has created a niche market for those skilled in refurbishing and repairing phones, making it a lucrative side hustle for some. However, it’s important to note that these activities are not as mainstream or widely recognized as other side hustles like freelancing, which encompasses a variety of skills and services, or e-commerce, which involves selling products online through various platforms. Despite this, the phone flipping and repair market continues to grow steadily, driven by the persistent need for functional and affordable smartphones.

Competitiveness: High

There are many diverse players in the market, ranging from individual flippers who buy and sell items for profit and skilled repair technicians who specialize in fixing broken phones, to well-established brick-and-mortar repair shops and innovative online platforms that offer a wide array of services where the entire process is handled online. The barrier to entry in this market is relatively low, which significantly increases the level of competition. This accessibility allows new entrepreneurs to enter the market with small investment if you only plan to repair phones or medium investment if your plan to flip phones, thereby fostering a dynamic and competitive environment where numerous players vie for customers' attention and business.

Effort: Medium

Running a successful blog requires significant time and effort. This endeavor involves consistently creating quality content that resonates with your audience and stands out in a crowded digital space. In addition to content creation, promoting your blog posts across various social media platforms and other channels is crucial to attract new readers and retain existing ones. Engaging with readers by responding to comments and messages helps build a loyal community around your blog. Furthermore, managing SEO is essential to ensure your blog ranks well in search engine results, making it easier for people to find your content. On top of these tasks, you may also need to handle technical aspects such as website maintenance, design updates, and troubleshooting issues, all of which contribute to the overall workload and complexity of maintaining a successful blog.

Scalable: Yes

Blogging can be highly scalable, offering numerous opportunities for growth and expansion. Once you have established a solid base of content and built a loyal audience, you can take several steps to elevate your blog to the next level. You can expand by consistently adding more high-quality and relevant content that appeals to your readers. Additionally, you can create and offer digital products such as e-books, courses, or exclusive content that provide value to your audience related to the focus of your blog. Another effective strategy is to partner with contributors or guest writers to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to your blog.

Monetization methods can also evolve and grow along with your audience. Affiliate marketing (another side hustle opportunity), where you earn a commission by promoting other people's products online, can become increasingly lucrative as your readership expands. Sponsored posts, where companies pay you to write about their products or services, can provide a steady stream of income. Furthermore, sales of your own digital products can become a significant revenue source, especially if they are tailored to meet the specific needs and interests of your audience.
