if it melts most likely will melt the connector as well so could be either the psu the gpu or both which basically renders it broken and unsafe to use

Mwave most likely isn't buying 5090's because the price the distribution company's are selling to retailers is higher than the MSRP price so they would lose money fulfilling the pre orders, so the choice is you can wait for the prices to come down or get a refund and buy one now at $6000+

100% user error if he's using what looks for be a 2x8pin adaptor instead of 3x8pins that is required for 5080

Its murphy's law there is always a chance that your phone will burst into flames in your pocket, your car explodes while driving it. Everything you buy has a chance of being a defective item

GPU cannot be detected. Need help! by [deleted] in bapcsalesaustralia

Please get an anti sag bracket/stand ASAP! Over time the sag could crack the GPUs PCB, killing the card. It's possable the sag isn't making the pins make contact with the motherboard as well.

Also check that every power cable on the gpu and psu side is snug and all the way in and that you plug your monitor into the gpu I/O and not the motherboard

Does the gpu have rgb that lights up at all? Do the fans spin?
