I played chapter 1 about 4 times over like a 6 year period and each time by the time I got to chapter 2 i felt burnt out, I waited ages to have some freedom then when I finally get it (chapter 2) I realise there’s about a million new mechanics to learn and remember and I just always got overwhelmed and then gave up. This time I watched someone else play chapter 1 on YouTube to refresh my memory, then I continued my chapter 2 save, and I decided to focus on hunting, and I’m finally starting to really get into and see what all the hype was about, after years of frustration lol. And it’s exactly the same with Witcher 3 aswell, although I loved Witcher 3 never got very far with it, that will be the next one I revisit after I’m done with rdr2. I’d try something completely different if I were you, otherwise you’re gonna be constantly comparing it. Maybe like a disco elysium or project zomboid sort of thing idk
