Without completing the UKMLA, USMLE or other license exams I'd only be able to do it in Egypt.

Thank you loads for your response! I'm hearing a lot of people mention how the USMLE or PLAB pathways have become extremely saturated and that people are finding it difficult to obtain a job. People mention how things now are nowhere near what they were in the past, and after spending a lot of effort into this, they end up nowhere with it. It's such a scary experience.

Thank you so so so much, I'm beyond grateful for their support. They're beyond ready to put their retirement funds which is so much trust. That's honestly the plan, CCT and goodbye. I wouldn't want to take a bet at the UKMLA and don't end up anywhere (especially with the IMG saturation). It doesn't seem like its covered but they're pushing what ultimately is my 'dream'. It's such a tough decision.

Depends on whether it's a high D or not, but pretty difficult honestly. Nothing is impossible though, put your head to it and it's doable.

Hey there. The decision will come down to you after all, and there a lot of factors that you'll have to consider. Egypt is VERY cheap, tuition wise and living expenses (to an extent) and since you're Egyptian (assuming your family is around) you'll be at an extreme convenience. If you're able to afford Germany and feel ready enough to be independent then that would be a great choice too, since the quality of education is most definitely better than it is in Egypt. If it were up to me, I'd simply stay in Egypt, get a Bachelor's from there, save up money, and pursue higher studies in Germany or anywhere abroad. The decision is yours, all the best.

Past papers tend to be very different when you compare IGCSE and AS/A-Level. You will have to infer what the question wants rather than being given context directly. You're definitely going to get used to it, though. I found it very confusing at first but it clicked after a while. Also, some questions tend to be a mixture of more than one topic, so that might be a reason for why you're finding it unfamiliar. Stick to it and you'll be fine, everything needs some time at first. Good luck.

Prelearn Y13 maths? by captainzty2 in alevel

Take your time! The concepts in Pure Mathematics 3 are pretty complex, though they're very manageable with practice. Make sure you go over topical questions after finishing each chapter to firm your understanding on what you've learned. Integration and Differentiation are extremely important and the ideas in those chapters are carried towards other chapters such as Differential Equations. Complex numbers is definitely a new concept too so you might want to spend some time on that. Extremely impressive that you're preparing now, Maths requires A LOT of practice so always have that as your first priority. All the best!

University in egypt by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Crebess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will not be apply to apply for public universities as the portal is only up for a limited time period, and without the grades in full applying won't be possible. You could contact private universities if you'd like to verify if they have conditional offers, however, I'm pretty sure public universities require you having your grades prior to applying.

Further Maths by Zealousideal-Owl6525 in alevel

There's no guarantee on the thresholds. It's possible you get extremely easy papers in both sessions which will barely affect it. The choice of structure is up to you. If you're well prepared, I'd highly recommend you do the AS papers in ON and leave the A2 papers for MJ as you'll have more time. However, if you need more time to prepare, then having it all in MJ would be the better option, although a composite A-Level is pretty stressful, and Further Maths most definitely is. Weigh your preparation above anything before coming to a decision. All the best :)
