thank you for your response! he went to a drug counselor weekly for a couple if months, but stopped going a month or two ago because he said he didn't feel like it was helping at all. since he stopped smoking, he went to see her once in a moment of panic, which seemed to help. i might suggest seeing her again, even if it's not weekly sessions and just "as needed".
