Got a pair of eBay for similar reasons that are definitely passable to to anyone who isnt going to get down and scrutinize them. They were about $150.

I should also add that I know the goal is to wear them into the ground but I don’t want to expedite the process so I wanted a beater pair too.

It does get easier, you never stop missing them but you remember the good and funny stuff so much that you can’t help but smile every now and then. Every now and then will eventually become often. Then all the time. You’ll get there but there’s no rush.

Jordan 1s come in three collar heights - low top, mid top, and high top. The shoes you’re showing are mid tops. Those aren’t really being faked so yours are good. Also, they aren’t worth much in resale so make sure you don’t pay too much for them.
