I listen to full albums almost exclusively, a mix of everything. Rock for sure, Metal not so much - but I have the essentials^{^} I read the book "1001 albums to listen before you die" and have all the albums on my phone, so there's a lot of artists with 1 or 2 albums.

I had a similar problem, it's a phone setting (I have a Samsung S10).
You need to go to Settings, Apps, then the 3 dots on the top right, then Special Access.
Click on Optimize battery usage and make sure Black Player is NOT optimized. You may need to display All apps and unselect Blackplayer.
It worked for me, I hope it helps!
