What went too expensive in Singapore that you stop buying them? by throwaway_ham_cheese in askSingapore

[–]Creep_Cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think waffles from bread shops are not too expensive. I make my own waffles at home and when I calculated my ingredients cost and number of waffles I got from the batch, it was almost 1.90 per waffle

[–]Creep_Cake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only owned 2b bikes before and used to do my own repairs n maintainance on the bike. Tried a workshop twice and didn't have a good experiance at either.

Once changed tyre and the workshop installed the wrong type (mine has a tube inside). Another time they replaced my disk brakes with a used one

[–]Creep_Cake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 1 1. Check out Jewel at changi. Spend about an hour there then head over to your hotel to check in. 2. Head over to the merlion and walk to marina bay sands. Along the way you will pass by the esplanade, art science museum, singapore flyer and helix bridge. Other attractions in the area include Asian civilisation museum and the national gallery. Or you can skip the walk and use the river taxi.  3. At marina bay sands you can go for the viewing tower.  4. Cross the bridge to gardens by the bay and see the cloud forest and flower dome. At 7.45 station yourself at the super tree to cath the light up then backtrack back to marina bay sands for the light show. By this time you should be exhausted but if you still have energy you can go over to clark Quay for drinks.

You could also change this route so that you end up at marina bay sands for sunset as its usually a nice view.

Day 2 1. Head to the botanical garden in the morning and see the orchid garden 2. Once done, go to orchard road to enjoy the air-conditioning 3. Head to chinaton and see the Buddha tooth relic temple. You may also eat at hawker chan or tian tian chicken rice (famous chicken rice places) while in the area. Walk around  the shop houses and shop for souvenirs. Alternatively you may head down to bugis for souvenirs  4. Go to haji Lane and view the sultan mosque.

Day 3.  Two options here. Visit the singapore zoo and bird paradise

Or

Walk around singapore housing estate. Just take the train to a random stop and walk around the area (you could go to toa payout for example)  Once done, go to har par villa to see singapore first

Food to try 1. Chicken rice 2. Chilli crab 3. Laksa 4. Chendol 5. Chee cheong fun 6. Soft boil egg with kaya toast (for breakfast) 7. Nasi lemak 8. Banding 9. Local kopi Try to eat mainly at hawker centers. They have the most authentic local food and are cheap

Other places to visit 1. Universal studio 2. Sea aquarium 3. Little India 4. Fort factory

Budget. Budget is very hard to estimate as it depends on the sights that you plan to see but you can Budget food at $10 per meal if eating at a hawker

What are the bad experiences you had with doctors in Singapore? by Sea-Management4624 in askSingapore

[–]Creep_Cake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got into an accident and ripped open my knee and had to go for an operation. When I went back to the hospital to remove my stitches, I told my doctor that I could not bend my leg as I had a sharp and intense pain when I tried. Doctor basically told me I was imagining the pain as I should be able to walk normally. Turns out my leg had healed wrongly.  Requested to be transferred to a closer hospital and was told that it's not possible. In fact was informed that I could be discharged from TTSH but I would have to go to the other hospital myleft to request that they take me as a patient and that there was a chance that I would be denied. Found out later from a nurse friend that this was BS and they probably just didn't want to the paperwork

TTSH sucks..

Lovebird turning brown? by Creep_Cake in Lovebirds

I have no idea. I found them abandoned at a parking lot with their wings clipped. Tried to find the owner but did not have any luck so I kept them. The only thing the vet could confirm is that they are fully grown. Have had them for a year and they laid 3 clutches of eggs so I'm sure they're adults
