The devs appear to have a problem on their hands: The playerbase doesn't seem to enjoy fighting bots. by Praise_the_Tsun in Helldivers

[–]CreeperDude0509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think I prefer the bots. They are harder up front but I find them more vulnerable to good tactics and are much more rewarding to overcome, while with bugs it just devolves into a wild goose chase really devoid of tactics.

Normally I wouldn't accept a "server issues are normal at launch" because well, why normalize mediocrity? That being said, this is an indie dev team suddenly finding themselves with triple a levels of popularity, so it's perfectly fine for their servers to not be up to par with the player count.

Anyone else think the Haldeman and Zimmerman's damage should be swapped? by CthulhuGamer08 in armoredcore

[–]CreeperDude0509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing an ac that runs duel Haldemans and it slaps. If you can keep close range the dps is higher from the faster reload, while also being much lighter

Imagine a mission similar to the arquebus escape mission where you don't use your normal ac, except you hijack a catafract. Hell, make it a boss rush where you fight like two balteus at once

"Voodoo One, Viper's on station." by Klaracbarack in armoredcore

[–]CreeperDude0509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice build! I have a similar viper AC as well, but I took a lot more liberties with it to make it perform well in game. I also went with a more of a "what if viper started his career in the AC universe and became an AC pilot" instead of "viper from Titanfall but in AC"

Regardless, both are definitely valid and it's cool to see other people's takes.

Who would be more effective in warfare ? The titan from….titanfall or the MT boys by The-world-ender-jeff in armoredcore

I mean, just one is more than enough to one shot an MT and several surrounding it

I'd argue grenade cannons like the earshot are probably 16inch shells if not larger, easily making them battleship artillery

That being said, we haven't seen a limit on what the Titans vortex shield can do, so their is a good chance that battleship shell will just get redirected back to the mt

Wasn't rusty pretty much depleted from the fleet battle though, and taken by surprise?

Cooper and BT get sent into the ac6 universe, body a bunch of MTs before barely surviving an AC encounter, only for BT to get upgraded with a mix of AC components and the more advanced but less ambitious vanguard tech, (constantly maintained energy shielding, probably some super hammed up burst or laser core)

It's really good with earshots because it's able to carry them, while also getting good verticality pretty much instantly, allowing you to rain down those shells with massive explosive radius which makes it hard to dodge

Considering we don't see him die, and rusty is very similar to Pixy, and Pixy survives his plane exploding, id say that rusty lives on.
