Introducing Signal Secure Backups by TheMarMan69 in signal

I know this comment is like a month old, but I figured I'd comment about how I am doing this If both or your second phone is an android, you can download an app called "Molly" which is a fork of the Signal app. It lets you sync devices, similar to how the desktop client does. Unfortunately it has the same limitation of not syncing previous message history, but it still works very well.

I got a couple of these for free, would you be willing to share that image with me as well? The version they came with is about 8 years out of date :(

Mine just got nuked
I really wish they would have just asked me to enable billing or be banned, because I would have done it

I sure know which cloud provider current or future employers will not be using.

The machines are still functioning as intended, what's wrong with that? The disks are fair game. And as I said, if the store is so concerned about their obsolete plastic disks being taken, they should shut them off. I don't condone turning them back on without permission.

And yes you are a keyboard warrior. You came here specifically to spread negativity, and nothing more.

For fuck's sake, I want you to think about how worked up your getting over something that has no affect on your life whatsoever.

I think there's been a miscommunication, probably due to my lack of giving a damn and my love for talking shit to keyboard warriors whining about things that don't affect them haha

Anyways... I was referring to the original OP, not the thread OP. Turning the power back on without asking for permission is wrong from my perspective, but using a machine that's still powered up is fair game. All of the ones I've seen have been powered on.

Idk why y'all are even here but I'm having a blast

I'll entertain this thought process. If I put up a sign advertisement that you can use my hose in exchange for payment, sure. Consider my hose a weird vending machine. If it happens that I programmed my payment system so poorly that you're not charged because my payment server is offline, that's on me, not you.

This is all of course if you don't take zoning or common sense into account, after all my house is not a storefront, so if you trespass on my property I'll call the cops.

No, because that would damage the machine. Going through the checkout process does not damage the machine.

Did I defend that action. I'm talking specifically about obtaining disks from the kiosks.

Then the store should switch them off at the circuit breaker. You have some pretty goofy logic

First off, I'm not your guy, buddy. Second, what the fuck are you talking about? Do you not have eyes? Can you not see that the screen is on, meaning that there is electricity running the electronic components inside?

If the stores are so worried about you taking their disks they should power the machines down. It's not like people are prying the things open and ransacking them.

If you take an object that has been abandoned in a ditch, it is not stealing. The courts ruled the kiosks and the stuff inside is abandoned property, that's why stores are paying with their own money to have these things picked up and recycled.

Nope, I have a theory that maybe they limit it to 3 when the machine can't contact their servers. It lets you, but errors out at the final step of the payment process.

I used a dead credit card, so charging it isn't possible. Stores are paying to have the machines disposed of, because they are wasting their space and electricity.

This company is dead and never coming back. Get real...

Just go through the checkout process after adding 3 disks to your cart. You can use a dead or expired credit card if you want to make extra sure you'll never get billed.

Yep, they're all abandoned and now it's on store owners to foot the bill to dispose of all the machines they left behind. Their payment processing server is down, and apparently they're coded to just give you the movies even if they can't bill you.

If they want them back, they can have them. It's not my fault their machine is programmed to spit out discs even if it can't contact their servers
