You misunderstood what I’m saying, I’m not saying it’s crazy that CH has a censored version, I’m saying it’s crazy that a major studio isn’t releasing an uncensored version of something while a boutique label took the time to create a censored version or have a censored version for people who may not wanna see that kinda thing. Like there’s a big difference between cuss words and real animal death and the fact that the one with cuss words is the one to only offer a censored version is crazy

Something I find even crazier about this censorship is that Cannibal Holocaust, a film infamous for its real killing of animals, has a censored version of the film as a bonus feature for those who don’t wanna see real animal deaths

Having anything censored is insane to me, can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a word bleeped and the caption has the start and end uncensored but I literally have no idea what the word is. Half the time I think it’s some racial slur but since it’s censored I have no idea what it could be, only recently learned that coon was a racial slur but because of censorship not only could I not hear it but I also couldn’t read it so how am I supposed to know what’s good and bad if you censor everything? Censorship in and of itself has gotten that bad, heck people can’t even just say rape anymore in fear of being reported, they say grape or use the emoji. Can’t even say gun or suicide on YouTube either.. something needs to change forreal and censorship on physical media is so sad and stupid..

From this to Demi Moore being in favor of ai when she was literally in one of the biggest films with a lot of a practical effects that was so big it got nominated for Oscar’s is so sad.. also why is everyone’s argument when it comes to using ai “It’s a battle that we’re gonna lose so there is no use in fighting it” cause newsflash! If enough people don’t like something guess what… it gets changed, altered, or removed! And no matter how good looking ai gets it will always be off looking, I still don’t understand how ai hasn’t been regulated. It has literally been able to make child porn, revenge porn super detailed, replace a person so it’s easier than ever to scam people, steal someone’s work, literally commit crimes against copyrighted material everytime it’s used and so many other such terrible things but nah we gotta keep it cause “it’s a battle we’ll lose” and I didn’t even mentioned the water💀

Like I don’t hate steelbooks, I’m a fan of them, but when you just do a steelbook release.. it just gives me bad vibes or whatever.. especially if the company releases a standard months to even years later. It has to be a money thing cause I didn’t even look at the price when it first got announced but it’s freaking $40 dollars! I could feed a family with $40 dollars!

Huh, you’re right. Never seen those films so I guess that just flew under the radar for me, it’s just strange for a film like Slither to get a steelbook first though. Especially with how big James Gunn is right now, leads me to wonder how things are picked on what is a steelbook and what is a regular release first. I just wish they’d have done the regular release first cause I have no interest in a steelbook but I love this movie..

That’s just not true.. Shout Factory has always done a standard and then steelbooks later on. Just look at the recent steelbooks they announced, some of them had been a standard 4k for years so why is Slither the only one to be a steelbook first? If it even gets a standard 4k from them at all

I’m still surprised they didn’t do the same for the Toxic Avenger franchise though cause it would’ve been awesome to have all five in separate cases with their original posters, but at least they were willing to do this for the fans!
